Hey there! These are some pictures that I finished recently of my character Korreen. As this is my first time coloring something via photoshop, any constructive comments or advice would be helpful.
You can see more of my art and the full rez pics here.
Anyways, here's the pics:
-EDIT-: Updated pic
Korreen is an elf(think Lord of the Rings more than Forgotten Realms) character that I came up with for one of the stories my friend is writing.
I also made her as a character for Oblivion, and I plan on re-creating her soon.
In this universe Korreen was a paladin who followed Lent, the two-faced elven god of life and death, and she was dedicated to the destruction of evil and the preservation of life. But due to various circumstances (which will be revealed later), Korreen felt that she had failed in her duty to Lent and also to the ones closest to her.
As a result of this, she invoked the Ya'maiahel, or The Path of The Walking Death. Once a bearer of Light for Lent, she would become a bearer of Death for Lent. This was a rare event, and it allowed a servant of Lent to further prove their devotion by becoming an instrument of death for the deity.
Korreen underwent the painful ritual scarring required of a Death Paladin, where runes of doom and destruction were literally carved into her skin and her hair was cut short and bleached of all color(it was originally black and very long). As was the tradition, she was allowed to place the last ritual scar herself. Without hesitation she took the ceremonial blade and drew it across the left side of her face. As the blood flowed down her face, he vowed that she would not see again from her left eye until she had completed her duty towards Lent.
Korreen was given an archaic suit of obsidian armor and powerful cursed mace taken from the previous Death Paladin. The mace, Senka, absorbed the soul of anyone it killed, further strengthening the mace and the one who wielded it. Once the entire ritual was complete, Lent bestowed upon Korreen powerful soul-stealing abilities of Death in replacement of her powers of Light.
Her friends, family, and comrades were required to turn their backs and shun her until Lent deemed her quest was complete. And so Korreen left, mounted atop her armored warhorse. She now wanders the world alone, following Lent?s guidance and killing all who have strayed from the light and fallen into darkness.
There is actually quite a bit more to her story than that...but I would have to explain about ten other things from the story for it to make sense.
Constructive criticism welcome.
