Well, I'd like to congratulate you for making this very enjoyable quest. It is very well written, very well voiced and technicially it worked just fine. Most importantly, the way the quest is implemented and unwinded is very original, I especially enjoyed the fact that PC is alone in this, which allows him to have a private secret for his own. In the world where almost everyone seems to know everything about him, this was a very welcomed change for my PC. Contentually it was nice to meet someone who basically knows nothing about present events in Amn, and probably mostly because of this the encounters bring a bit different kind of atmosphere to the game. Accidentally, I got the final talk just after the release of avatar in Suldanesselar and thought it was very fitting. Also I like the fact that the quest spams across almost the whole game. My only minor nitpick would be how Aidan mentions he will return to the PC x-more times - I'm not sure if it's explained how he knows the exact number of subsequent encounters and it also spoils the suspence a little bit imho. But as I said it's not a serious problem at all.
To conclude my musings, Fading Promises is fresh, atmospherical, intimate and well rounded addition to the original game. I wouldn't mind if the quest was somehow prolonged into ToB at all. Congrats and thank you for this!

Thank you very much for your kind words!

Actually, Aidan's knowledge of the number of his visits is intentional. According to several real world mythologies, the number is symbolically associated with death and the dead, and this was a bit of a nod to that tradition. I'm not sure if the Forgotten Realms go in for ghost stories, but I like them, and I wanted to make one for BG2.

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I really love Aidan berelinde! He makes me sad that ------ spoilers

that he has to leave at the end. He makes me wish he could be party joinable after his quest is done and romanceable! I know I know lots of people probably don't want more romance but I can never have enough. I know he is as he is and will stay that way but I enjoyed him so very much anyway.
Nice job and thanks for spicing up my games!!!
