I don't think that there's anything worse than a younger hyperactive sibling who wants her cookies. Now.

Seriously, the expressions are hilarious, and it so fits the original story

Without further ado:
Also, why is it that a google image search will scar your brain forever with images not fit for a Tiajuana Donkey show when doing seemingly innocent searches for things such as "fruit", but can't conjure up a decent reference pic for things that would have made this a heck of a lot easier to do? Seriously, how hard is it to run across a picture of a woman crying without her throwing a screaming fit in the process? Apparently it's next to impossible for me.

Your illustrations of the characters are so good I can't help but smile when I look at them. The composition is weirdly cool (I never would have thought to put it on an angle like that), and I think it works really well--it really shows off the characters. Like Kulyok, I think having the outline of Lantar is fantastic. In fact, I mostly just think this picture is fantabulous (and I do not use that word lightly!).
Now, onto individual characters! In no particular order...
Dradeel. Oh, Dradeel. From the arcane symbols flowing from his fingers to the lock of blue hair, Dradeel screams "You touch my family you die, you ************* *****." Protective, with crazycool hair and beard and mustache... need I say more? Not exactly how I imagined him, but this is me right now changing how I imagine him because your Dradeel looks so much cooler.
Naljier is another one who isn't quite how I imagined him, but it really works. I always thought of him as being in his early twenties with bright red hair and kind of looking like a leprechaun, but the dark skin and blueblack hair is fantastic. He still looks childish, but he's angry--it actually looks like when a child is angry. You know how kids sometimes can't contain more than one emotion? Well, Naljier is pissed. And once again, awesome hair. In fact, I may mention this with every character because you just draw hair so well!
Aphril with the huge shadows under her eyes, wispy blonde hair and awesomecool blue dress just wins. She is almost exactly how I pictured her--kind of ageless but old-looking, with huge eyes and a haunted expression. I especially love her her dress is folding around Dili slightly, it looks very cool.
Dili is just awesome. She's all "D:" and has crazy hair and is in the middle of changing to a tiger/leopard/bigcat/scarything! Could you make her any cooler? She's so small, innocent and thin, and yet we know she will savage Lantar if she has to. Or possibly hide behind Aphril's skirts, whatever.
Doggydemonwolf because I think s/he deserves her/his own comment. Scary and awesome. Scaryawesome, even. Is s/he from another plane, summoned by Wanev/Aphril? Wherever s/he comes from, they are great.
Wanev. His hair. YE GODS, HIS HAIR. It is bright orange and crazy and huge. And he has huge arms! I must be careful lest I become completely incoherent, so. Ahem. Dark skin with crazy, thick orange hair and very well-shadowed features, he just looks fantastic. And I can just imagine him with a crazed expression, too--obviously this is one of his more lucid moments! I love his slight smirk and the bright blue spell.
And finally, Imoen, who is a vision of determination, style and general hotness. Have to run, so will keep this short--she is basically awesome, and cute, and fantastic.
THANK YOU!

Also, K'ae - oh, my god. I originally pictured Naljier looking pretty much exactly as you describe (but maybe a little lankier), but I dulled him out to emphasise his love of shinies. Hair is fun.

They're amazing. *hugs* Thank you so much.
I love the detailed, grim background of the third pic, the bright colours and contrast of the fist pic (the characters are really accurate). And the look on Scarlet's face in the second pic is priceless.

Coooool, glad ye likes. I actually wanted to do more with the border and background, with the 1st and 2nd pic in particular (the 3rd one's fine, I think, but I kinda screwed up the floor :/ ), but I didn't want you waiting on these any longer (plus 7 weeks is a mighty long time to concentrate on one project ).
