Needed: One Demiplane!

1. What type of area artwork are you requesting: Indoor or Outdoor?

More or less outdoor--against a red sky, basic idea attached, though certainly the artist could mess around with it more or use a different background if s/he wished.

I'm wanting something that looks creepy, mysterious, and wrong & will evoke the feeling of not being in Kansas any more.

2. Specifically what type of area - city, dungeon, forest, something else?

Something else: A demiplane, hanging on its own. I'm thinking walkways rather than corridors.

3. Size of area artwork requested? (Remember that the game has size limitations.)

Large-ish--needs to lead off to 3 separate rooms & have room for 4 encounters without people bumping into each other--one is a fight, so there needs to be room for that to happen without it hitting innocent bystanders.

4. Where in the game will this area occur and which areas will it link?

It will link to 3 areas Yovaneth is making.

5. Should the area artwork have both night and day versions? (The artist will essentially have to create the area twice - think hard if you really need both)

Just the one version. Twilight? Otherwise, day :)

6. Describe your vision of the area in detail! Give some backstory to the area, the intended use, a sketch of the intended area artwork...

It needs, as I said above, to be largish as it has to have branches leading off to the kitchen, the clearing, and the ballroom, as well as sufficient space for encounters.

It's built and maintained by the same demons who own the ballroom, so it is Not a Nice Place--should be slightly disorienting. I've been envisioning it as a walkway [no walls] hanging against the red "sky" & thinking of something somewhat Escher-esque, though the artist has freedom to work with this any way s/he wants.

7. Will the artist have some freedom to compose the area, or should the request parameters be followed to the letter?

There is lots of room for artist interpretation.

8. Are there any special features you need? (for example a statue that opens to reveal a secret passageway etc.)

One cage, openable by either the PC or an independently acting NPC (ideally) & a couple of containers.

9. Any deadlines?

Soonish, ideally in a few weeks so I can test the quest properly.

10. What game and what mod is this for?

The Mage Trio for BG2

11. Anything else you'd like to mention?

I think that about covers it :)

I've edited this a bit & am bumping it up as it is still an active request. Any takers? :)

I'm surprised not... it sounds like one of the more interesting area requests. (I can't draw large things - I have enough trouble with BAMs.)
