Question about kits installed by mods

I was wondering since it is not possible to install all kits, what happend to the NPCs that may use such kit in the mod
when its kit is not installed ?
For example, if I install TDD with kits, then ROT skip its installation of kits, but what about the NPCs from ROT that uses some kit ?
If this cause issues, do you need to install TDD with kits, then use the kit remover install (which is said to keep NPCs kits), and then ROT with kit (maybe the check for TDD kit must then be removed from ROT v2.1) ?

The kit remover only applies to player characters, not to NPCs at all.
You can have both TDD and RoT kits, without trouble:
- BEFORE installing TDD, Edit the Setup-TDD.TP2, changing the following line to look like this (Notice the //):
// FORBID_COMPONENT "Setup-RoT.tp2" "1" ~You must not have "RoT Kit Pack" installed to activate TDD kits successfully~
Do the same for RoT. You only need the kit remover if you're going to apply a kit to your PC:

I am still a bit confused thought.
As I take it from the thread linked, the kit installations are only about being able to use the child of Bhaal with a kit, and
not about the actual availability of kits use by the NPc (which can join or not).
Still got conflicting feedbacks on that, so the best is to test ^^ (but I don't know when I will face a new char from ROT to check if
its kit is available or not).

Well, as you can see, the discussion was in year 2006, and there was no Level 1 NPC mod, now does the mod work with every kit mod installed with the "Edited the Setup's", I don't know. Could it? Yes. Will it be a huge pain in the Nythrun's ... , yes!As I take it from the thread linked, the kit installations are only about being able to use the child of Bhaal with a kit, and not about the actual availability of kits use by the NPC (which can join or not).
But if anyone can help her to accomplice this, we'll all be grateful, not perhaps to you, but to Nythrun, who will be in turn to you. As that's the idea of the mod.

I'm wondering WHY u need to have more than 9 kits for a single class ... can't u install just the ones u need?

But I do want to have the NPCs with their respective kit the creator of the mod intended to have.
Hence my interrogation, are the NPCs class kit appearing when they join, or not, depending of the
installation of the kit part itself. (TDD and ROT have been reworked not to allow (per default) both kit to be installed at the same time)
Possible outcome :
-the NPC will have the main not specialized class
-the NPC will have the kit just fine, only at creation of the PC is the kit not available.
-the NPC will have bugs,
etc...

Just try ... install ONLY the kits and see what happens,
mm75
That test would not serve any purpose to what I want to achieve.
I already know both kits are mutually exclusive using Weidu. (and are surely for a good reason)
I still want to answer this question though:
Are any NPC that can join the PC's group linked to installed kits ?
And the subsidiary question :
Would the answer to the previous question be the same for all the big mods ?
After searching, I didn't see anytopic about missing kits on NPCs, so nobody seems to have encounter that problem, hence I am propably worrying for nothing.

If a NPC HAS a Kit AND the Kit is installed ... YES, they will have their kit. But, again, just try (i don't see why not) and see by yourself,

They're not m.e. because of WeiDU, they're m.e. because the caretaker of TDD and RoT has made them m.e. As I noted above, you can make them m.inclusiveI already know both kits are mutually exclusive using Weidu. (and are surely for a good reason)

Why not do the experiment that mm75 said, and then report your results? It would be a contribution to the community.

Off course yes to this case but what if :
If a NPC HAS a Kit AND the Kit is NOT installed ?
That's what I am gonna test when I am back home

So if you want to play both TDD and ROT with the NPCs as the creator of the mod made them, you have to edit the tp2 to not check availability of previous kit, and use kit remover in-between TDD and ROT to avoid possible issue with the create screen.
But if you didn't know the NPC was supposed to have a kit, you cannot notice, because the game works just fine. I guess that's why there was nobody giving feedback on that.
From the thread that was link earlier, King Diamond gave the right answer to the conflicting feedback, NO to all question
I have 2 questions about character kits.
1. If i won`t install RoT character kits will the ingame npc still have them?
2. Can i install TDD character kits make some characters then uninstall TDD kits and install RoT kits? Will the Characters with TDD kits still work?
Both - NO
Edit :
After playing around more, it really seems that kit remover is not a so good idea after TDD because I got uninstallation problem later. (trying to switch between kits from TDD and ROT using RemoveKit).
A note on Level1NPC mod, I could use the kits from ROT fine, but never the one from TDD. I think it is a problem from TDD weidu, but there is no forum to give that feedback about it.
So plan the kits you really want in advance, and don't install the others seems the wise solution so far.
