Just felt like starting this thread. uhhuhh.

So what games are you looking forward to and eagerly awaiting at the moment, and why?

Me, I'm thinknig....

1) Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath (Expansion)
Been playing CnC3 for a while now, it rewlz, and they're promising loads of fancy stuff for the expansion. And I just like scifi. ^^

2) Starcraft 2
Wheee! It's looking great, and it's a Blizzard game, so i'd expect it to be even better balanced than C&C3 for online play, plus, it'll work on Battle.net, which just beats the crap outta gamespy. ^^

3) Hmmm, let's see, well, I'll come up with something once I've got enough hardware to run something. Oh, I know, I'll say Gothic 3! The game is actually out already, but I can't play it properly with my current hardware, and thus am not buying it before I'll upgrade my comp, so that's one thing I'm looking forward to. ^^

I'd like to get my hands on the Witcher(yeah, it's out but I'm broke).

Kane's Wrath does look interesting yes, and I do agree that C&C3 is good. I'm on act three of Nod, and GDI.

Also wouldn't mind owning the WoW games(and the expansion, Wrath of the Lich King which is due out some time).

Oooo, fancy that. You ever considered playing CnC online? ^^

Oh yeah, thewitcher... It definitely looked nice, though the machine requirements were quite murderous IIRC, and I read some silly stff about in a review, area transitions, load times and such; inconveniences.
Still, it did get really neat reviews overall, might be interesting...

Well, there are so many games that I am looking forward for and C&C3: KW might be the only one that might run on this computer yet, so it might be the time to upgrade, but darn if I am to buy a new monitor, I need about 600? just for a good new widescreen monitor, the exact amount I am able to invest into a new computer, so I am quite in a pickle. <_<

Ooo, fallout 3... I managed to miss out on the games thus far, but I've always wanted to try one of those... can't help it, anything with proper power armors in it has got me hooked. xP

Starcraft 2, most definitely. Although I fear with Blizzard's current interests (racking in money from WoW, of course) and their announcement of another MMO, that it will be a disappointment, especially for people who've been following it since the first.
WH40k: Dawn of War: Soulstorm.
I'd be looking foward to another Fallout game if Black Isle hadn't bit the dust.
Morningtide for Magic: the Gathering.

I think most sequels are a disappointment to any overly devoted fans who have sucked in far too much of the lore for it to be healthy, and then get picky about the developers not sharing their point of view on it and how it should develop. xP

I'm kinda trusting Blizz though.
They've got a lot of experience with online RTS games, and they're taking their time with the balancing.
They know the expectations are high, even little errors are going to be whined about, both horribly and continuously, I don't think they can afford to let out an unpolished product.

I heartily recommend, I've been enjoying it lots. :)

I'm extremely anxiously waiting for Mass Effect's PC release because I'm a PC gamer. So when some lucky X-box gamer starts talking about it, I usually slap hands on my ears and shout, "LALALALALA NOT LISTENING."

I couldn't really call it overly devoted as it's been twelve years since SC was released.
Plenty of time to suck in all the lore available.

Dawn of War: Soulstorm is the game I'm currently waiting for. Personally, I'd prefer to see Dawn of War 2, but Relic's done an impressive job balancing seven races (to be nine with Soulstorm). Sure, there's one fairly overpowered race, and one once-overpowered race that got beat over the head with a nerfhammer a bit too hard, but for all the complexity in the game, it's very balanced, and I personally feel that it's a superior game to Starcraft-not as absolutely fine-tuned, but with more diversity. Not many games that have made so many *different* races (as opposed to the Age of Empires approach) that's so relatively balanced.

Oh, I'm sorry, wasn't pointing at you, Leila, with my fan-person comment, just been hanging a bit at the C&C official forums, and gawd do those people there whine about insignificant details or what?! ^^

Was the same with WC3 official forums, always seems to be with official forums... xP

Not much of that with Dawn of War, thank goodness. Dawn of War and it's parent game universe can get very cliquey community based on your race of choice, though-pity the Tau player who walks into a Marine forum. Most people agree the Necrons (specifically Flayed Ones) are overpowered, Imperial Guard is underpowered, and that's about all the whining you see for that RTS.

Yep. But I figured I'd finish the campaigns first.

And The Witcher I heard several people who played it(one of which was Ilmy) say it was pretty good. So, I would think it would be cool.

For the PC, primarily just Starcraft 2. It better be worth the damn wait. I'm also waiting for several groups to finish translating a few games I have that are entirely in Japanese, with School Days and Melty Blood: Act Cadenza topping the list. Of course, I can't deny I'm eagerly awaiting Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (my single reason for wanting a PS3) and the remake of Final Fantasy IV (one of my very few reasons for wanting a PSP).
