I love that look of intensity! He might be just a tad too pretty for an adventuring party, though. Maybe this is in line with the type of character he is, but perhaps something could be done to make his appearance a little more rugged? A scar or tatoo?
I'm glad you like the look of him! Tattoos we aren't going to go for (probably) but we are going to scar him up. I just haven't gotten round to it yet

Can't remember for the death of me - who made the portrait? Loving the gaze under his eyebrows.
I did, a couple of months back. Glad you like it!

Something I saw that could be improved was that the PC only had a few responses. Perhaps, to make it more fair, you could give Charname the options to politely tell Anomen to mind his own business (in addition to the bossier-sounding "Go to bed, Ano.") and nicely refuse Faren's offer.
I understand that this is a work-in-progress, however, so I don't mean to assume that you did not already consider these things. Just offering my opinon.

Me likey. I'm not too worried about Anomen's comments - although if they were all "Anomen's being a prig" I might be concerned. That said - I assume it is a jealousy talk/romance conflict? With a NG/LG Anomen (pre/passed test?)

Yoshimo: ...let me tell you, the lady was not best pleased to find that her footman had been duplicitous.
Faren: Ha! So did he get hold of the dagger in the end?
Yoshimo: Well, most assumed that it vanished. However, if you were to dig a little you would find records of its sale to a certain antique-dealer named Yoshimo...
Faren: You rascal! That's brilliant. What did you do with it?
Yoshimo: Ah, now that would be telling, my friend.

*Weakling Scipio back-peddles for fear of offending and adds his usual insipid comment*
Actually he does look like fun. I should take him along to distract Aerie.
*back-peddles even faster as his wife enters the office and reads over his shoulder*
But you only play Solitaire, darling!!!
See, it helps not to believe all the stuff that philosophers spout.

Yes, I see what you mean. In my opinion that's a plus, though. Not sure if I should play him. He looks a lot like that Iraqi guy in "Lost"

Not sure if I should play him. He looks a lot like that Iraqi guy in "Lost", the one my wife thinks is rather sexy. I can't have taking over my game.
Hehe, don't worry - he's not a taking-over kind of person.
I'm not a big fan of NPC's that are weird for the sake of being weird. Faren seems to fit the setting nicely. I'm curious about his background.
Then hopefully you'll enjoy him - he's very much an everyday sort of person but is fun nonetheless (and he's not even stealth-weird like Andrei, Sebastian or Keto are...) and has quite a practical outlook in life. We may post more detailed previews about his background at a later point; watch this space!
edit: @Tarayani, KIrving - thank you, and hopefully you'll be able to enjoy him soon! (And major props to Feuille for the portrait!)
