Add ActionOverride(Player1,DestroyAllEquipment()) to AR0015.BCS. I am not inclined to call it a fix though, because importing 'used' characters is simply going to spoil the fun, unless they have 1 or 0 experience.I was wondering what causes the difference in how an imported character begins the game. In BG2, if you import a character when they begin in CI, they possess absolutely no items, however if you import a character to begin a new BGT game, they possess every item they had at the moment you exported the character. Is there a way to fix this so they have the same attributes, but not the equipment?

You want to say that imported equipment ruin the balance in BG? If you think so you can simply drop all your equipment in the begin of the Irenicus Dungeon, and that is all.
Personally I consider that it is insulting when all your equipment is taking away all times you start the game...
