Miss E have you completey given up the TOB part? You have not responded to any ? that people have about fade . Especially when they have seen you visit other sites, but you don't visit your own forum?I do not mean any disrespect to my comments. It has been many months now with out any feedback from you. Even though this mod is free, You have a large fan base(me included) that loves your mod that so far shows how much a talent you are. would like to hear from YOU. and only YOU. to let us know if you are going to finish or not finish the TOB part. Again I'm trying to be disrepectable, but step up and be honest to your fans. Thanks for your time and Merry Christmas

Mistress Elysia is on hiatus from modding for the moment - and somehow I doubt posts such as this will help her to return any sooner. This has been made clear multiple times by multiple people, and given that it has, I would hope everyone would have realised it.

If you would like her to continue her work on Fade, may I suggest that you send her an email telling her that, rather than posting on the public forum which she doesn't read at the moment? I think that might accomplish more.

Yes, multiple times by multiple people by not by the author herself (anytime recently) so it is no wonder people don't just take the word of others. Unless they are her official proxys? I've haven't heard or seen her say who (if anyone) speaks for her.

Anyway an email may to her may help but most of us would rather try the public forum and not innundate her private box if at all possible.

A post by Silmarien in the Anyone have News Ofthe Mistress? thread:

Okay, for the avoidance of doubt, and at the prompting of Solar's Harper:

I've spoken to Mistress Elysia fairly recently and she's indicated that this project is not abandoned. She's just feeling a bit burned out on it and taking a break from it by engaging in other activities. She'll be back once the burned-outness has run its course.

Hope this doesn't sound too curt... it isn't meant to. Let's hope she makes her comeback sooner rather than later. :)

Considering Sil is the person who coded Fade, she practically is an official proxy.

I want to see Fade completed as much as you guys do. Elysia says she is on haitus though and we should respect that. I have no doubt we will see Fade completed, just give her the time she needs.

Modding invites metaphor. It's in your blood. It's a harsh taskmaster. Whatever.

My point is that modders rarely go away from it forever. But it does burn you out fast, and nobody can write when they're fried.

I've got a simple rule: when I can't write, I code other people's stuff. And there are lots of times I can't write.

Anyway, all the best to Mistress E. I hope burnout passes quickly, but folks will still want Fade ToB, even if it takes a while.

Cool but I don't accept "practically." If the author posts and says so, fine. But whatever. As long as the author wants someone to voice for him/her then fine, but speaking for myself I don't just blithly accept other people sounding like they are telling people not to post in a public place and ask questions. Unless they own the forum and even then that is iffy is the forum is meant to be public. Perhaps no-one meant it that way but sometimes these "practically" proxys sound as if they are talking down to people and that troubles me.

Yes we will wait what other choice is there? But what the heck is wrong with a question in a public forum once in a while???

There have been several threads concerning this topic in the past, and as MyFinalHeaven said, Silmarien herself posted a confirmation.

I'm not trying to dissuade anyone from posting, but I see little point in a third or fourth topic about the same subject (especially since she doesn't visit currently). As I said in my previous post, an email would probably do much better if you would like to send your thanks and interest to Miss E. You might be surprised how flattering it is to receive such an email as a modder. :)

Cheers.

Thanks K'aeloree I did just that. So if she gets mad at me I'm going to blame you! :whistling:

Fade is my personal favorite so I've been coming back here to check up on things every once in a while since first discovering her. Finally joined so I could post (*sigh* I know, I know...) but hey better late than never.

Whenever, if ever, TOB or anything else fade, is done I'll play it. Personally I'm just thankfull Fade was there to play in the first place. I do want to say however...I love the tail! Kinky, irreverent, just plain weird, say what you will but... did I say I love the tail!?! Oh... right then. So... ahem ... I wouldn't be opposed to more dialog about her tail.

Anyway, Mistress, loved the mod.

I asked Mistress Elysia about the mod in DeviantArt after commenting on a recent Fade-picture, and got the following reply - I figured I'd share it with the rest of you:

" Thank you!

I must admit, I am *supremely* burnt out with regards to modding (although my mod muse has been sniffing recently, giving me the odd idea or two regarding how I could bring another one of my characters into the game). I am planning at the moment to round things up this summer - no point doing it now (too much work on my plate), but I am keeping my writing hand in with Where Darkness Resides (my D&D fic based off NWN: Hordes of the Underdark). I really do want to finish the mod (especially since there is a working alpha around - I just have to finish some dialogues up and there will be a working version ready for release, minus new flirts / new final quest) - I need to talk to Sil, whom I know is also ridiculously busy, and see if we can sychronise watches.

That I still draw her, however, is a good sign - I do still love this character with all my heart! "
