but once I cast the spell the don't say anything, it worked only once but it somehow gone mute again.
it might be because of the Race problem as my companions are Tabaxi, Ainmhi, Sephiroth, and Imperial.
the one time that it worked on was imperial.
but i can't be sure, A anonymous guest "Smith" had a similar problem that I did, he fixed but never told us how.
sorry if i'm breaking rules or something, but i'm desperate =(

As for the custom race companions: you should create an "Ainmhi" and/or "Tabaxi" folder in data\sound\Voice\cssCHARNAME.esp and then copy contents of any other race folder(e.g. Imperial) located in here(data\sound\Voice\cssCHARNAME.esp) and everything should be ok. Sephiroth uses Imperial sound files, so it should work just fine without any problems.
As for the imperial: didn't you try to cast the selecting spell on more than one companion? The spel will work only on the last one, as it deselects it's previous target upon selecting a new one.
Btw,please let me know if that solved the problem.
Good luck!

oh thnx it works now but another problem, when i take my companions to SI, it starts fighting everyone
might be cus of the factions stuff, how do i fix this?
Faction has nothing to do with this, as there is no negative bonuses to disposition attached to it, it will not affect your companion behviour. Which one of them are cousing the havoc?

also, it appears that NOTHING is making the "sounds", like generic hit, power atk, or taking damage. so it might not be the mod that you made at all. I'm slow at noticing things so it might have happened before i installed this mod.
BUT PLZ REPLY IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY

I did a conflict check with OBMM, it seems that the PC (diag) seem to conflict with the following mods:

Oblivion Sound Sets are free of this bug since the last update(to version 1.9). I'll update Companion Sound Sets just after the Christmas, and tonight I'm to upload new version of Oblivion Sound Sets on TesNexus.
Merry Christmas Billy

However, I couldn't help to notice that nothing has changes in terms of that bug that I have stated before.
right now I only have Imoen, Safana (which I'm not using), and Nalia right now. I've isolated the problems to it seems that the MASTER AND THE ESP files are causing the problem.
but before you reply the answers regarding the problems above, have YOU experienced the problems that I have?
and if its not too much trouble could you explain to me the changes that you have done from the latest patch?

I've tested several sound sets and the problem does not occur anymore. You should remember to update cssbase.esm along with the .esp file. The thing I changed is (amont other things) creating new combat tab entries(with appropriate conditions) instead of editing the original ones.
