During Jaheira romance I have encountered Dermin for the first time. I have waited around six days (the amount suggested in Extremist/Slappy's romance guide) and still nothing happens. I then proceeded to continually hit the "rest" button until three weeks had passed but nothing happened! (also note that I am still getting lovetalks so I assume that the romance is still alive)

Any help would be much appreciated

If you're still getting lovetalks, you need to wait until you don't get them anymore. You need to wait six days after the last available fires. If you're still getting lovetalks, everything's in order.

Eh, another thing you forgot to point out there CC.

When going after lovetalks, remember that they are not reliant on the amount of game days passed as they are of real time. So if you leave the game paused in the main screen, and do not jump out of the game for a bit (in other words you cannot do anything else with the PC), then after some time the next will trigger, likely along with other LTs as well, or banters.

As for Dermin, he usually attempts to ambush the PC (and gets halted in advance) without the need for rest, and in some areas he may not show up, but in others he might, so keep that in mind. :)

I highly suggest using the banter accelerators, otherwise you'll be waiting forever.

Jaheira's last SOA lovetalk (with Terminsel no less) however is the longest by far, and if you want the Harper's Pin, best have your reputation above 14 to be on the safe side. :)

Essentially a romance could be done in 1 whole game day, but then again, who leaves their game paused for that long and then stops it's pause around the time when it should initiate the next thing, and then start up again, resting only when needed (to go even further)

Hope this helps, Lathander. :)
