Hi all,
I've recently started trying to make my own armour and I've got a small issue. The areas which are supposed to be transparent don't just let you see through the armour to the character model underneath - they let you see all the way through the character. I've managed to get those areas to be solid colour by playing with the alpha settings in Blender, but for some reason, the transparent areas in the texture don't ever seem to show the character underneath.
Any ideas?
Cheers

Update:
I've managed to get the transparencies to work properly and show the character model underneath, by binding the mesh to the right foot object.
However, now the right foot disappears whenever the armour is equipped! Any ideas?
Cheers

Well, it is very difficult to help with this. I guess more information would be nice. If you could describe what you have done or show pictures we would have something to work with.

First, put it back in the slot you had it in before.
Possible problems:
Did you include a character model underneath your transparent one? You have to do this with all clothing and armor pieces. Look at Bethesda's iron meshes for an example.
What is your nialphaproperty like? Having the threshold or flags set a certain way can sometimes make objects underneath disappear, although this is more common with other transparent objects (not something solid like a body mesh).

I love Elves. They taste like chicken.
