Hendak (the NPC in Copper Coronet) is missing. When I entered the Copper Coronet for first time I freed him and then killed Lehtinan . Hendak gave me the quest to kill the slavers in the "ship house"... I killed them and when I returned to the Copper Coronet he wasn't there  <_< Is there a way to spawn him or any other solution?

Carefully check the corridor leading to the slaves' quarters. He should be there.

All the ??????'s tell me that you've got a reinstallation issue. I'm not surprised if you've got NPCs not showing up.

What happens is that when you install a new version of a mod that has undergone a lot of revision to its file structure, you sometimes get an imperfect installation. You'll see stuff like missing NPCs or dialogue funkiness. Painful as I know it is to rebuild a mega installation, you may have no other choice. This won't be the only oddity in your game.

Thats the third reinstall I do :( and the ?????? were always there and I'm sure that another reinstall won't fix it .
By the way Hendak wasn't always missing.

You're right. Another reinstallation won't solve your problems, and will likely make them worse. You haven't actually done a clean reinstallation unless you've deleted your override folder and weidu.log. Please see this thread about building and maintaining a clean installation. I bet that fixes all your gameplay problems.

I always uninstall/delete all files related to the installation. I don't know what should I do now.

EDIT: Wow, I never thought that I will find him in the arena... Sorry for the trouble. Next time when I can't find an NPC I will look for it more carefully ;)

Yes, I delete the mod install files after the installation is complete. I can't uninstall the mods with ??????, but there isn't any other problem, right?

Reign, before you smoke that installation, the ??????? can sometimes be an issue. I had one installation of TDD with that line of ??????? and the whole mod worked fine. Sometimes that may be attributed to Low Virtual memory. I thought fixpack goes after game/patch and before biggy mods.
Maybe I shouldn't think?
If you want close to perfection, then you can do the reinstall fresh
Because SoS is installed on yours, Hendak appears in the room where Lynis is (with the Teddy bear), he has always done that when I play SoS. Check that out. That leads to a whole other issue, later on. Looks like you found him though.

I know that it is difficult, but it would be very helpful if people could try to avoid the American slang. I, as an American, assume that "smoke that installation" means deleting it? There are a lot of foreigners who play our games and write in our forums. Their English is often very good, but they are not always informed as to the current slang usage in the USA. I, after 7 years absence, also find that I do not always understand the intended meaning.

I have had this same issue over and over again with Hendak. It only occurs when I'm using the WinXP platform, as far as I can tell. I go back and look everywhere, but no Hendak. When I use the Win98 platform, I do not have this problem. I have played ToB in Win98. It's been some time ago, but I do not believe I had this issue come-up at that time. I've had it happen even with nothing extra added on to the game; just the base game installation and the newest patch for ToB (or SoA before I had purchased ToB).

Some gladiator is still standing in the cell where Hendak had been. He says I should ask Hendak about how to free them. The pleasure slaves are gone, because I have already freed the slaves; all of the slaves. Hendak had already asked me to get rid of the slaver captain, etc. My party has now killed the slaver captain and is still in possession of the key. I have searched every square inch of the tavern and there is still no Hendak.

I read that I could "create" him using the command CreateCreature ("Hendak") in the CluaConsole. I have tried CreateCreature (Hendak), CreateCreature "Hendak", CreateCreature Hendak, CreateCreature("Hendak"), CreateCreature"Hendak", CreateCreature(Hendak), and CreateCreatureHendak. I must assume that the creature code for Hendak is not 'Hendak'?

How can I call him up again into the game? Can I do this through the ShadowKeeper? Or need I do it in the CluaConsole? I had to respawn Hendak before, but cannot recall what I did. Each time I have to search for information on the internet, I find less and less pertinent information. :( So I cannot always find the same sources I had used before.

Also, the quest where Boo gets stolen spawns 3 un-killable trolls in the Druid's Grove. :( I tried everything, including setting the difficulty level to minimum. The trolls would go down to nearly dead, but never lay down and die! They also single-mindedly attacked my main character - a wild mage. I hadn't cast any spells, they are what showed-up when Minsc said that there was something in the bushes and we ought to prepare for combat. I tried acid and fire, sun bullets, the flail of ages +3 and +5, but failed to try normal weapons, or any damage type not included on the +5 Flail of Ages. They would not die. We finally just ran away.

Many thanks for your help.

I can't help you with the missing Hendak, but I can help you with the unkillable trolls.

Read this thread, and the thread it links, completely, and follow all the directions, and you will be able to enjoy the Kidnapping of Boo component as it's intended.

I think there have been various reported oddities in the Coronet due to the doors and all the moving about the npc's do.

Usually you just find them hidden away behind a door or something...where they chased some guard probably.

The Missing Hendak happened to me too, looked everywhere but nothing. In the end I spotted him on the second floor, hidden behind the wall at the corner between the two staircases. Very hard to spot him, you must look carefully there.
I've played this game a zillion times, first time it happened, I suppose something was blocking his way and ended up there.

A note on the Hendak thing: I had read somewhere that if you take too long to complete his quest that he sometimes "goes missing." After a bit more play-testing, I've found that this is generally true. You can use the CLUAConsole thingy to respawn him. The following site tells how to "create" a creature. It is the first section below the notes on what an FAQ is.

Hendak and the slaver quest is somewhat buggy.

I found the most stable way to handle it is to escort him to Lehtinan and let him kill Lehtinan.

HENDAK.CRE uses, not surprisingly, HENDAK.BSC and HENDAK.DLG

Heading HENDAK.BCS we find this block:
IF
	Global("HendakFight","AR0406",0)
	Dead("Lehtinan")
	Global("HendakReleased","AR0406",2)
THEN
	RESPONSE #100
		SetGlobal("HendakFight","AR0406",1)
		SetGlobal("HendakReleased","AR0406",2)
		SetGlobal("HendakMove","AR0406",6)
		JumpToPoint([526.1193])
END
So, what this means is that he will be moved to 526.1193 if you kill Lehtinan.

This is the final step in his HendakMove sequence.

CreateCreature("Hendak") should work. Since you killed Hendak, this code block should fire, and move him to that spot.

This is where I found him as well, so many thanks. I had to close the door to the staircase to the right and then he popped out.
