Call me narrow minded or selfish, but..
I'm glad they're kind of trimming down the whole edition, with losses to come there must be gains to earn.
I can barely find anyone playing D&D in Taiwan (Or I'm just not looking hard enough), not to mention to find a game store with fully Traditional Chinese translated Dungeons and Dragons set, whenever I mentioned of D&D people just turn away. Expenses and costs aside, I'd love to dedicate myself to PnP D&D if enough are with me (Surely I'm not going to bring around my Chinese handbooks and character sheets to a English campaign?).
Even on the official Taiwanese Wizard of the Coast site itself is outdated by almost 9 months, (Come to the 2009 March 21st Game Day: Player's Hand Book II, try out the 4th edition!!!)
All because it is too complex and it is in a foreign language. (And I'm certain that's the case in somewhere else, too)
I hope they would make it easy enough to 'populate' D&D in every corner of the world then re-complex it like it once was.
[/end of random thought about the debate at hand]
And yea, as Jarno stated, bards should be cut down and let rogues do the performing... I like that idea

I am: Human-Essentric (Halflings/Gnomes/Dwarves/Tieflings are favored)
Fetish: Backstab Ability (That includes Blackguards!)
Alignment: Mainly Any Evil and, to some extent, Chaotic Neutral
Nemesis:
Aasimar (Unless s/he's evil like Belueth the Calm)
Elf (I just don't like those pointy ears)
Paladin (You could guess why)
Weapon of Choice:
Short Sword/Thrown Daggers + Buckler
