Hello!

I report a new problem using the Petrification Fix with BGT 1.05a: Branwen is hostile and attacks you as soon as you turn her to flesh. Furthermore, using Detect Evil, a red circle appear just around the statue turning the statue into "hostile" already.

Hey, not such big deal, mate!

I know that this kind of situation is very frustrating but I also know that you have all the skills to patch this up.

Don't give up... ;)

I'm not 100% confident the detect-evil problem isn't due to SCS - mages and priests are a bit hypersensitive to anyone casting ANY spell at them. (Will be fixed in the next version, due out in mid December).

By extension, the red-circle-on-Stone-to-Flesh problem is caused by SCS2 as well.
Unfortunately, SCS2 is raping WeiDU so much that I'd rather not dwell in the code and see if that's the case.

Dear the_bigg,

since Petrification and Imprisonment fixes are two "must-have" for my BGT installation, is there any chance that you might be willing to delve the code of the first one in order to make it work properly?

I'd really hate to leave it behind... :crying:

I repeat myself: it's SCSII that causes Branwen to go hostile when you cast Stone to Flesh on her. I have no control over that.

This snippet from the BGT 1.05a compatibility guide reports:

"- The Bigg Tweak Pack v2.01 or above
Avoid use of the component 'Petrification Fix' until further notice"

Now I guess Ascension64 would have not written that if the compatibility problem was between SCS and this component.

I thought DavidW just on this topic confirmed that SCS is bugged when it comes to use "Detect Evil" in the nearabouts of priests and mages and not for the simple turning to flesh.

1) Even if A64 didn't update his master compatibility post, TB#T 2.10 is compatible with BGT.
2) The compatibility problem between BGT and tb#t is that Stone to Flesh does not turn Branwen back to flesh. Since that is not what you're experiencing, it's not the same bug.
3) The officially declared problem with SCS is that casting Detect Evil will turn every mage/priest hostile. This is much closer to the bug you're actually experiencing.
4) Learn how to read:

I'm not 100% confident the detect-evil problem isn't due to SCS - mages and priests are a bit hypersensitive to anyone casting ANY spell at them. (Will be fixed in the next version, due out in mid December).

In the English Language, "Stone to Flesh" is classified as "Any spell".

Well, what I can tell you is what I have seen with my own eyes:

I have turned to flesh Branwen with SCS, SCS II and Petrification Fix installed (without using Detect Evil) and SHE DID turn hostile to me.

I have turned to flesh Branwen with SCS, SCS II without Petrification Fix (without using Detect Evil) and SHE DID NOT turn hostile to me.

For me, this is more than a suspect. Unfortunately I no longer have the game installed and I can't double check this.

Finally, after a week, you manage to prove you have a problem. My testing result is:
Tutu/SCS: not hostile
Tutu/TB#T: not hostile
Tutu/SCS/TB#T: hostile
Tutu/patched SCS/TB#T: not hostile

To patch SCS, drop the attached file in scs/priest/priesttop.baf and reinstall scs. Reported to DW.

Oh I do have more than ONE problem, and not only since a week ago... :whistling:

I thank you for uploading that file. I will make sure to have it installed next time I play.

Fact is, you tested it in your TuTu game. I am a BGT player instead. It'd not be the first time that mods, or some part of them, are compatible with the first and not with the second or viceversa.

We will see...

Possibly. But I did not reference any resource name, so it's likely that it works with BGT too. SCSII could need a different file, OTOH.

I've sent the patch to DW, but haven't heard back.

"- The Bigg Tweak Pack v2.01 or above

Well, this is obviously based on a report of v2.01, since that is the version listed. Does this need to be changed for v2.10?

Yes, the original problem is fixed. Now we have problems with {Tutu,BGT} + SCS1 + TB#T, which are fixed by patching SCS with the attachment above (http://www.shsforums...&...st&p=360407.
