Coran was incorrectly listed as a half-elf on a few walk-thru sites, and that made a few people think that he is a half-elf. I like Aerie, looking forward to Cernd if you are going to color him. Red Wizards are generally bald to showcase their tatoos and their status as non-slaves in Thay.

Second also. Though I don't see a big difference - mainly just a little more contrast, which I like.I have enlarged and slightly tilted Aerie's eyes (first one is the original, the one underneath is the edited version)
Which one do you guys like better?

I think Shar-Teel and even Viconia could use alternate portraits - hey, the more the merrier, right? And I'd still like to see a dark/"ursine" Minsc. I don't care if he does end up looking like an ape... somehow that'd be fittingIs there an additional character that you guys feel needs a portrait, or doesn't need a portrait? (I'm not sure whether I should do Shar-teel, the in-game version is quite decent...)
. And thanks for the alternate Edwin. I'd prefer to see him rather darker, but don't feel like you should make that a priority. Maybe he'd look "eviller" with some tattoos as Domi suggests (I don't remember reading that anywhere, but I won't dispute the info).

It's been a while since I posted in SHS, sorry about that! My life right now is so FREAKIN busy 
I have added a (somewhat unfinished) Ajantis at the top post and took down the first Aerie portrait.

You know, I have no idea why people think Japanese have tilted slit eyes.... weird.
If anything, Japanese have really ROUND eyes compared with it's neighbors Korea and China.
And honestly I cant think of any Asian country with people with tilted eyes (people like Lucy Liu are rare and considered ugly in Asia)

If I may say so, that Aerie is smokin'! 
Had that been the in game portrait I'd be really tempted to actually carry her around in the party (if only there was a way to duct tape her mouth).
Personally, I wouldn't say no to a Viconia, but I do agree that Jaheira would also be sweet.

I think they're really good, especially Aerie. The only one I don't like so much is Ajantis, and the only reason for that is his helmet. Horned helmets really annoy me, and I have an unreasonable reaction to seeing them. But that's my problem, and he really like his face.

The portraits are very beautiful, and I can't wait to see the colored painting of Yoshimo! He looks awesome. Ajantis seems oddly scewed - try flipping the canvas horizontally to help you see the anatomical errors there.

Yoshimo looks very nice, and I'd have to agree with Bluenose about the helmet. I do like that you've kept all the original clothing for each character, though, it makes them blend in more.

The occasional Spanish-Chinese mix in the Philippines, but even here they're rare. Everyone I've seen with Japanese/Chinese blood (myself included) has eyes that are closer in shape to almonds, really.
I like the portraits. I'm particularly fond of Aerie's, which is my current favorite so far. Edwin looks a little like a Mongolian to me, with rather feminine-looking cheekbones. Eagerly awaiting your take on Imoen and Nalia.
