First time BGT user. Been using Tutu for the last few years.

So I finally installed BGT last night but noticed some strange random encounters right from the start. Dire Wolfs and bands of Bandits when all i have is a short sword and leather armour is a bit tough.

Is there a fix for this?

Also, should I install anything else? I just want to play through the original games without too many modifications since I never finished any of them. Only thing I've installed so far were the improved paper dolls update.

Any other recomendations? I'm thinking maybe Indira NPC. Not sure about the BG1NPC Project. Should I install that as well? Or any other mini quests that don't deviate too much from the original gameplay and won't gime any bugs?

It's a good thing to post weidu.log when have some issues with gameplay and asking for help here. As for dire wolf and bandits...perhaps you walked into wrong place ;) Nay...IIRC there were some ambushes in BG1 part...but mostly with some 5 bandits and 4-6 dogs, easy with 4ppl party and long bows (and at least lvl two!)

BGTTweak has the optional component of changing the spawns.

Thanks, that's what i wanted to know.

Also, is the crash fixer included in the latest version of BGT or do I have to install that seperatelly?

If you are referring to the Beregost Crash Fixer, it is an external Java program that you use only when your savegame becomes corrupted and you suspect it is because of the foreboding Beregost issue. You can find a link to it in one of the pinned topics in this forum.

Thanks for the help.

Installed everything I wanted and got the game going.

But why not remove the "Baldur's gate II" title from the main menu and replace it simply with "Baldur's Gate"?

Other than that, great mod. Got all the way to the bandint camp last night. No bugs at all. Game looks amazing.

Really, its such a minor thing and I'd need to get a graphic artist to change it.

And what about creating a shortcut on the desktop using the nice BGT icon instead at the end of the installation process? :whistling:

Really, its such a minor thing and I'd need to get a programming artist to change it. :whistling:

P.S. batch script can't do that.
