Leonardo, in guide you didn't mention that Redemption v113 and The Longer Road v1.5.1 cannot be installed together. They look like you had install them together.

Install Component [Redemption 1.1.3 requires BG2:ToB:Ascension v1.4.xx]? [I]nstall

Install Component [Longer Road v1.5]? [I]nstall

I think that's another mistake of the guide.
Just check the weidu log at the end of the doc, and you will find that redemption is not installed.

With Sword Coast Stratagems v7 don't install both 'Better calls for help' and 'Better NPC management'. Pick one.

Do you know which file(s) cause the NPC bug?
I check the ai script dplayer2.bcs but it seems ok.
I'd like to try to fix this bug without reinstalling the mega mod all over again.

All right.

Today is going to be BG date. I finished a while ago with a clean installation of BG2+TOB. After that i defragmented my HD, cleaned it, cleaned the registry. I just finished installing the v4 fixpack, the 1st step in what is going to be a long night. Apart from trying the game in both multi and single and in both SOA and TOB, after every installed component, i will make a separate backup with:

the entire override folder
the entire data folder
dialog.tlk
baldur.ini
CHITIN.KEY
BGMain.exe
weidu.log

I hope the pain will be passing and that i will survive the process!    :crying: :woot:

Hey Guys!

I was reading the instructions and i had some problems.

I found this:
4. INSTALLATION OF THE BIG BG2 MODS
4.6. Ascension v1.4.2
20. ASCENSION-RELATED MODS
20.4. Ascension v1.4.21

First of all what does v1.4.2 mean? Is it the 1.4.20 version? Also there is already a 1.4.22 version soshould I download that instead of 1.4.21, and will it work with the .bat?

Also if someone could tell me if there are any mods that require other mods to work cause I couldnt find such information.
I'm planning to have the following mods: Ascension, BG1NPC Project, BG2 Fixpack, ChecktheBodies, DSotSC, Improved Horns, ShadowsOverShoubar, ReignofTerror, Nathaniel, Solaufein, Scriptable Spells, Xan BG1 Frienship, Xan for BG2, Turnabout, Big Picture. Anyone no incompatibility problems with these ones or some other comments?

Thaks

There is no need to do backup after every mod. The best is to backup after the big mods , in your case after Region of Terror because with these mods you spend most of your time to install them. You can make another backup before BigPicture in case you want to remove a mod that is installed before BigPicture.

Guide says to not use 2.01 with .BAT files
BiG World setup_1.bat
BiG World setup_2.bat
BiG World setup_3.bat
................................
................................
BiG World setup_8.bat

you can use 2.01 to install every mod in the guide but you have to install each one separately.

Don't install NEJ or CtB with this .bat file. All the other mods went fine.
But make sure, you update all your setup.exe to weidu 201 (376 KB) before you start any .bat file.

Just an update on my installation attempt.
I think i will have to erase stuff from my PC before i finish with it. I just finished the installation of Region of Terror and after making a backup folder, thought to look at the size of it. Well, the data folder after RoT is 3,19GB. This is insane. 3,19GB in the BG2 folder plus 3,19GB in the backup plus the seperate folder with all the components that are transfered to the BG2 for installation, plus every other component after RoT i still have to install...

I am running out of space and i am running fast!!!

I find a new bug of the mega mod.

The game's background music won't stop playing when I initiate a dialog with an NPC who has its own unique music, so the two music overlap.

Anyone knows of this bug? It's not a big bug but quite annoying.

Now with the new version of BGT 1.05a , which mods are incompatible from the guide?
Is there any chance that NEJ2 v6.91 will work with 1.05a?

Something that should be added to the sections concerning Refinements and BG2-Tweaks:

If someone wants to use the Shapeshifting Fix from Refinements and [Change Avatar when wearing Robes or Armor (Galactygon)] together the latter has to be installed before the Shapeshifting Fix.
