Guess who wrote the CAPTCHA in the name box. Sigh.

You can log in, you know. ;)

Again, I ask, what about distributing patches as opposed to modified files?

I wouldn't do it without permission from the mod author. While I suppose it's less unethical to my way of thinking, it can still make a lot of people upset and/or mad, and I'd like to believe that it's better to not piss people off if you can help it.

It's not always that easy, as some files might be overwritten by the original mods, so it's easier to distribute a small patched tp2(few kb) than a huge(+3Gb) of mod repair parts, just because of old outdated WeiDU code.

But I understand your sentiment, so I won't argue anymore...

In the next 30 seconds.

j/k

Considering that SCS II v6 is supposedly done, and has been for some time, I wonder when they are going to have that download publicly available.

We do our best to release a stable BWP version. But we have found one big bug in the MegaMod we want to solved first. If we have found a solution to fix the bug, then the release of v5.2 will be.
Please wait a little bit more.
Thanks.

The big bug, was not really a big bug. We have found out, that it is very dangerous for a MegaMod installation like the BWP if you deinstall some components and reinstall it again. There may happen really ugly things. So if you want to do a MegaMod installtion with more than 200 mods, please don't deinstall anything, otherwise you could crash your whole installation. Like we did.
Now we go on to bring BWP v5.2 to an end and release it as soon as possible.
Please don't ask when exactly!! ;)

Hi all, I just wanted to thank everyone involved in this project. I was considering re-installing for BGT (I never did finish TotSC or ToB) and knew when I stumbled on this that it would be my cup of tea.

My install has worked great so far! Only one problem and I know exactly what happened: Don't try to go back and uninstall XPmod, for ENDBIFF will be your doom... I am currently redoing it without that mod and hoping that I uninstalled properly.

In fact I had more crashes from trying to run 1600x without Widescreen Mod than I have from this install :)

SCS v6 Prerelease can be found here:

http://users.ox.ac.uk/~mert0130/scs

Looking at a variety of other threads, it seems like there are a few fixes and some new info out there. I think I'm still going to hold out for a 5.2 before I attempt my next install.

You are right. It is happend much in the threads the last week. We have tried to get as much of the fixes as possible in our new v5.2, therefore it is the best to wait for the new BWP release.

Hopefully a quick question. While surfing the G3 forums about the BG2 fixpack there is a topic relating to whether or not the Super Happy Fun Lucky Modder Pack is required for solely dedicated players or not. In among all the fighting/banter I got the feeling it is not required if you are a solely a dedicated player.

My question is: Do you think that the Super Happy Fun Lucky Modder Pack is required for the Big World Picture. As the G3 forums are saying it can cause problems as well as fixing some.

Thanks for your time...
If you can't buy it, PinchIt!!! So said PinchIt the Halfling!!!

I've followed the thread at G3. It was a really hard discussion.
For the BWP we install this component, because we have no trouble with it.

Hi.
First, I post this message here, because I don't know exactly where I should post it, or just create another topic for it.

I'm the creator of Grimuars mod, included in BiG World Project. I'm not developing it anymore 9for some time as you can see), but recently reinstalling BG first time after a long break, I found out that mod downloaded from aerie.ru (download link from http://kerzenburg.nightisforum.de/showthread.php?t=34931) has incomplete English translation. So I've translated missing parts, and reuploaded it here: http://www.dragonsho...Grimuar-v3.1.7z.

Also, note that the English translation is now on first place (number 0, not 1) and weidu 20400 is included.

I think now that I have time, I'll remove uncompatibile parts, and make new release just for Mega Mod installation.

That's so great! I love to see how much effort you guys put in this whole Megamod thing.
I remeber when Leonardo Watson published his first BiG here, many people would say that troubleshooting this "monster" is simply impossible.
Well, probably they're right, but so many people try to improve it always more and more, so even though the goal won't possibly be reached, we're always getting closer to it!

Marvin

Leonardo, Leomar, and/or Marvin,

Would it be possible to document a small change log (just changes from BWP 5.1) even before you release 5.2? It would make it a lot easier to keep track of file fixes (links) and/or changes (install order) if I was to reinstall again before you guys release 5.2. It is hard to find all new changes from the ones I discover and the ones others discover here or at G3 or other forums.
Thanks a lot!
