Every single mod listed!
I'm going to update the liste as soon as Leonardo has updated his instructions!
I'd really like to see an automatic installer. It would be the top if you could also include the option of choosing which mod you actually want to have installed.
--> Not everybody likes every mod. Is that possible?

--> Not everybody likes every mod. Is that possible?
True, but there still could be made some auto-installer that reads some configuration file.
For example my auto-install I was working on didn't use the --force-install-list method, but I piped the input from external text file with comments
the text file looking like:
....
#Do you want to install[mod] ?
#[I]nstall, [N]ot install . . . .
I
#how many of this
5
...
So one could easily modify this file before the install started, the problem of this approach is that some questions for installation can be skipped depending on other options in other mods, so one change can make it inconsistent.
The best I can imagine would be one big configuration file containing this table :
|Setup-name |Component name |component # |Install? |
Some special utility would then take this file (possibly changed by the user) and generate the batch file for the installation (It would be really easy to make it)
So one would have
1) Premade auto-install without need to do anything if you don't need and just click and wait to install it
2) Easy possibility of changing installation components (AND THEIR ORDER !!!) in one single file, it would also allow one to split one setup into more parts (every component needs to be installed other time), it is sometimes needed
3) Safety

A few quick notes about Rogue Rebalancing (based on the English PDF):
1) As mentioned before, the incompatibility issues between the "Additional Shadow Thieves Content" component of Quest Pack and the "Shadow Thief Improvements" component of Rogue Rebalancing have been completely resolved as of RR v3.8. These components can now work together without problems provided that Quest Pack is installed before Rogue Rebalancing. The outdated incompatibility info can still be found on pages 38 and 94 of the English PDF.
2) The following part of the Refimements description on page 105 in the English PDF sounds very odd in English:
This mod improves some errors from aVENGER's Rogue Rebalancing Mod.
It gives the impression that Rogue Rebalancing has some bugs and that installing Refinements on top of it magnifies those bugs even further. Anyway, that statement was probably based on this line from the Refinements readme:
We have used aVENGER's material and a little bit more: we debugged his HLAs
That, however, was written with RR v3.11 in mind, and the bugs mentioned there have long since been corrected. Therefore, it might be best to exclude that sentence entirely from the BiG World guide, lest it create a false impression.
Also, this statement concerning compatibility between Refinements and Rogue Rebalancing on the same page is incorrect:
The HLA (High Level Abilities) tables of this mod contradict with the Bard kit & HLA revisions] von Rogue ReBalancing. Hence, both cannot be used together!
As mentioned earlier, Refinements can safely be installed on top of Rogue Rebalancing since its HLA component supersedes the corresponding component from Rogue Rebalancing (as intended). There are no compatibility problems here, provided that Refinements is installed after Rogue Rebalancing.

But the incompatibility between "Shadow Thief Improvements and "Check the Bodies" is still there?

But the incompatibility between "Shadow Thief Improvements and "Check the Bodies" is still there?
Yes, the incompatibility is both conceptual and technical in nature which makes it unresolvable. However, as of RR v3.82 I've included an incompatibility warning message into the RR installer which will automatically prevent "Shadow Thief Improvements" from being installed if "Check the Bodies" is detected.
Also, I've resolved a minor incompatibility with Dingeon Crawl in RR v3.82 as well.

As far as I remember CamDawg mentioned at G3 that Scriptable Spells is deprecated by BG2 Fixpack, as it is already included in its Core Fixes.

I have one question. In page 37 at 10.5. Improved Battles Mod v5.1 you said
Replace the faulty file udmaster.bcs in your directory ...\battles\brain\baf with this one of the same name from the folder BiG World Patches.
I can't find any udmaster.bcs to replace. There is only one file, udmaster.baf
I tried to install first Improved Battles without the fixed file and then replace the udmaster.bcs from the override folder with the one from the big world fixpack v4 and i got 720 warnings with NI.
Are we supposed to put this file at the according folder anyway?

I deleted this file from my fixpack, but forgot to delete it from my guide.
This was a temporary fix, but it didn't correct the the root of all evil. I will try to fix it as soon as possible.
I have reported an error with MALAR10.bcs from ROT here: http://www.shsforums...&...st&p=367856
Maybe anyone can help?

As a result of this, it is no longer a automated procedure from only two hours, but from two or three days. (See this thread: http://www.shsforums...showtopic=30560 and think yourself about why a few modders make life unnecessary difficult for players.) Because of these troubles I deleted the unpacker. I'm sorry. kovarex is working on another solution for download and unpack the mods. Until he is ready, there will not be any easy way for this process.

Perhaps bigmoshi's SMM Auto-Installer can be extended into a BiG World Auto-Installer... This might make installation even easier than the unpacker. The big world unpacker based on the packages, that are no longer available. Especially one modder thought, players should not be able to get the mods in a easy way, but they should feel all the pain, and she prompted the host to take down the files.

I made nice web-based interface for :
1)user freindly
2)fully automatizated
2)customizable
3)mega modification-downloader/unpacker/installer
I made dynamic web interaface at
http://www.kovarex.c...ateInstallation
where you can choose what mods/options you like to use, and the script generates batch file that will
1) check if you have all files needed
2) offers you automatizated download of all missing files !!
3) unpacks all files
4) performs FULLY automatizated installation (it only asks for bg1/bg2 location at the start of the installation)
It is based on this "big world project", and scripts seems to be working quite nice atm, but I have just few mods in the database and it is really very hard work to manualy add all 260 mods in the big world project to the database, so I'm looking for somehow, who could help me.
I would give him some limited accces rights, and he would be able to insert mods using simple web form, he would have to
1) Have the mod package packed in 7z packer
2) Have the mod readme (if possible)
2) Know the the mod homepage (if possible)
4) Know all the mod components (including weidu-id - this is critical for the install generator - and weidu log comment)
5) know the Installation order of the mod (components of mod)
to insert the mod into that database.
6) Know the mod incompatibilities
Thx in advice for any help or suggestions.
Note that the service is pre-alfa, so you shouldn't use it for real installs until it is properly tested.

Hi Koravex, the system looks great, but doesn't this mean that you are mirroring the mods?
--08:23:23-- http://www.kovarex.com/download/baldur/BP_BGT_Worldmap_v6.6.1.7z => `BP_BGT_Worldmap_v6.6.1.7z' Resolving www.kovarex.com... 81.2.194.136 Connecting to www.kovarex.com|81.2.194.136|:80... connected. HTTP request sent, awaiting response...
You may have to consider downloading the mods in raw format from the authorised mirrors.
That's the challenge in the actual installation process.

Hi Koravex, the system looks great, but doesn't this mean that you are mirroring the mods?
It does.
I have good reasons to do it as other mirrors.
1) Don't have always the latest fixes
2) Don't have raw http download
3) Don't use my favorite 7z packer which is approximately 10% better than zip
4) Use auto extracting packages often (But maybe this can also solved in command line- I don't know)
5) Sometimes use notepad command in batch file to show readmes
5a) I admit, that this could be solved by extending the smooth-install-fix that would use some regexprssion commnad to remove notepad commands from batch files
6) It would be extra lot of work for me to do so
6a) But, yes It wouldn't be so hard to make mirror list for every package, and make the installator be able to skip broken mirror, so my mirror would be only the last save
7) The system works only with the version it have in database, so newer version have to be updated in the database anyway.
Conclusion:
I can do it someday it won't be hard to make the system but, it will be hard to find and link all these mirrors and feed the database with it.

Otherwise, the system looks nice. I hope the order in which the mods are listed are not the order in which they are installed, because that doesn't look quite correct. Also, does your system allow language selection?

Of course not , you can click "future weidu log" button to see the order that will be applied, the list is in alphabetical order, note that the list can't be in the isntall order, as it would split some mods as these mods have different components installed at different times.
Also, does your system allow language selection?
Not at this moment, it is also in my todos.
To the smooth-install
I made this one-line batch command, to remove all pauses/notepad commands from all batchs in the instal folder, it may be helpful to other mega mod installer makers
FOR /R %%i in (*.bat) DO findstr /V /I "^pause" "%%i" | findstr /V /I "^notepad" > "%%i.changed" && more "%%i.changed" > "%%i" && del "%%i.changed"

Hmm. Well, I need to create a xml builder for that. But honestly, I'm a lazy reader.. so haven't really read BWP. Out of interest, I'll might do some guesswork tonight and see if I can come up with a generic configuration builder.
