As I have reported in another thread, there is a compatibility problem between SimDing0's Quest Pack and Baldur's Gate Trilogy in that the first modifies the Potion of Mirrored Eyes so that it does add some reasonable extra protections but at the same time removes the original protection from the Basilisk's gaze.

I have a fix, kindly coded up by Nythrun and in need of being tested.

PM me if you want to try it out and provide the result. At the moment, I can't.

Some days ago I had replaced some of the files above with those from the new NEJ mod and they work perfectly. I will try the other ones this weekend.

i confirm for most of the files except spwi524.spl spwi696.spl spwi724.spl
SPIN506.SPL fixed by Scud seems to work fine.

When Nej2 v602 patch installation ended i get these two messages. It seems that nej2 v602 patch is looking for these two files at override folder.

could not find c:\games\bg2\override\spcl242.spl
could not find c:\games\bg2\override\spcl221.spl

also i got this error from the Drizzt Worldmap patch you provide within BiG World Project patches.

WORLDM25
Serious error while looking up worldmap.
Invalid area link flag for map #1/link #1417 used in area entry #130.

Salk, wasn't that fix provided in a thread at G3? If so, give us the link.

I encountered that one too. Mirrored eyes doesn't give protection from basilikus' gaze. Strange.

Azazello,

the code is at G3, I made a WeiDu mod out of it.

It doesn't take much to do it but it's always better to have a prepared solution.

Anyway the link of the topic is:

It's not strange, since SimDing0 has removed the original protections...

There seems to be a bug with the Bonehill part of BP Balancer.
When I install it it gives me "Installed with Warnings" and I'm also not able to enter the Bonehill area of the mod.

Anyone else encounter this? I did follow the instructions exactly, with the only difference that I used v0.26 instead 0.25

Hi!

I'll check that today. It's right to use 0.26. 0.25 has a major bug, which was found with WeiDU 202.
Could you mail the DEBUG to me?
Thx,

Manduran

Has anyone figured out why a lot of monsters seem to stand around and not attack? I also found that the Lich in the undead cave of the temple district beholder domain would not cast any spells. Instead he opted for a melee attack which had me scratching my head. I also tested the Lich who comes out of the coffin in the Temple district and he too went for a melee attack. I have also noticed that the skeleton warriors without weapons just seem to run around all over the place.

I am wondering if this is an incompatibility with the tactics mod?

Heres my Weidu log...

~SETUP-TACTICS.TP2~ #0 #19 // Improved Undead

What version of tactics are you using....should be v23, reason I ask is you have a lot of things like the above that show up in your weidu that get skip in mine automaticaly.

Yep I'm using v23 of tactics. I had to do the manual install as I am using weidu 2.01. I'm guessing something obviously screwed up with my install so i'll try a reinstall today.

Ya not that I am an expert, but there is a whole slew of things that are skipped in tactics based on BP install. I am reinstalling right now to fix a kick out prob. I was having so when i am done I can send you my weidu to look at for comparison if you would like?

Ok reinstalled. I am pretty sure I forgot to use the patched Setup-Tactics.tp2 file when I installed tactics last time. I ran a quick control-J thru to the bridge district lich and it appeared to be casting spells correctly so I hope that's fixed things.

I tested out the candlekeep chores mod and get a CTD shortly after I go outside to milk the cows. I have never played the chores mod thru so I am unsure if this is to be expected? I used the Fast forward to skip through it anyway as I cannot handle the walking speed of the character as a child.

I am fairly certain that I have all the install orders right this time. The only thing I can think of that "could" cause potential problems is that these entries seem to be of the same thing?

~SETUP-DSOA.TP2~ #0 #3 // Improved Crypt King
~SETUP-DSOA.TP2~ #0 #5 // Gnome Fighter/Illusionist Encounter

~SETUP-BPV177.TP2~ #0 #6 // Kensai Ryu's Improved Crypt King
~SETUP-BPV177.TP2~ #0 #7 // Kensai Ryu's Gnome Fighter/Illusionist in the Docks

Anyway here is my Weidu again :) and I'll be sure to post up if I find anymore bugs

Thx again Nazar!

Greetings. I have been playing my megamod install for some time now. A few easily overcome bugs, nothing serious. Up to now, that is. I decided to play region of terror and finish it before i continue with my original team for BG2+TOB. I am at the ice temple, second level. I could not open a 3-door room at the first level. I summoned the Sender and got the key for the second floor, because i didn't like the gem riddle. There is a part in the second floor where i cannot enter without the game crashing. Every time i walk there, the game shuts down and i get the message:

This program(BGmain.exe) performed an illigal operation and will be shut down.
If the problem persists, contact the program provider.

More info: (If you cannot find a meaning, it's because i had to translate the Greek words)
BGMAIN caused a partition mistake in BGMAIN.EXE at 0197:009f4eb7.

Is it possible to continue without entering that corridor?

@ Jack Nader
You are right, both components change the same encounter and only one may be installed. But I cannot say, which one is the better one.

SETUP-BPV177.TP2~ #0 #7 // Kensai Ryu's Gnome Fighter/Illusionist in the Docks seems to be much more improved, but with ~SETUP-BPV177.TP2~ #0 #6 // Kensai Ryu's Improved Crypt King code from the ~SETUP-DSOA.TP2~ #0 #3 // Improved Crypt King was deleted.
Maybe someone can giive advice.

@ Altomar
I had planned to update the guide this month. However, i have focused to optimize the installation procedure. You will discern with the next update, that it is now much more easier and safer:

Now only 4 steps are to do:
1. Download the mods. They are bundled in several big packages, that contain all the needed files according to the guide.
2. Start the Unpacker. This .bat file will unpack all files and copy the into a backup folder. So you can copy all files ready prepared into the main directory, if you want to install your megamod again.
3. Start the fixpack. All known fixes get copied automatically into the scheduled folder. This step lasts a few seconds and will save you hours of time and a lot of headache.
4. Start the installer. After checking the installed mods it will do the whole installation for you. I try to make only one installer instead of a few. It will give some advices during installation, however, it is not ready yet.

I am sure, the next update comes this year, even though there is a lot to do.
