I know that they are not functional, I couldn't make them to work, the main idea was for it to work in paralel with the original Marvin's list in german, for people that don't understand german to have a translation in english, or even for Marvin who has the original list of mods to maybe make a new list in english for the manual in the future...

is this Big World Project more or less buggy than the SMM auto installer?

I just assumed the SMM auto was less buggy because it was for noobs and easier to install.

if i remember correctly you tried to auto download with SMM an older version of BGT. a
i suggest to manually install every mod you want. it is very easy. just extract them to main BG2 directory and then run setup-modname.exe.
The Big World Project contain information for more than 200 mods. there is no need to install all of them but only the ones you like most. if you want to try be sure to read carefully the instructions for information of possible conflicts between the various mods.

I have installed all the mods(except those non-English ones)mentioned in BWP 5.0 Beta.
When playing I got two CtDs.
One of them occered when I entered Hrother's home(NeJ)and the other when entering Cromwell's house(AR0334).
It seems that there's mo one else having the same problem.

I have done just an update of the BiG World instructions and the installers to v5.1. A lot of mistakes which you have reported are rectified. At this point many thanks to Leomar who had reworked the installation files, so that they work now foolproof. Also many thanks to Taimon who had revised the BGT-NPCSound-WeiDU mod.

Great work Leonardo! Thank you for the fast update of the manual . I am starting a new installation right now because actually today I encountered a fatal crash because of one of the iron mods, so skipping them is actualy a great idea after all for now. Maybe I will experiment with them later and tell you the results but for now I just want to enjoy the game without me worrying about it crashing because of a minor mod. I just want to know now if I can continue my old save game knowing that the only mods that will no longer be present in my new install compared to the old one are the iron mods?

Thanks very much for all the hard work Leonardo! BG2 has to be my favourite game and I must admit I was starting to get a little bored until I came across The Big World Project. I have most of the mods already that are needed. Only need to update a few and I will start installing. Looking forward to playing again. I am skeptical about the order of installation for several of the mods listed. I predict that, if I installed the mods I have in the order given for this project, the game would never work properly, if at all. So, I'm interested to know if anyone has done this and gotten games to work successfully, with the mods they have installed in the order listed. I say this because all the mod documentation and related discussions here at SHS and at G3 suggest that certain mods should be installed in a different order.

So far, I have the fewest game issues when installing this way:

BGII - SoA + ToB + latest ToB patch
BG2 Fixpack
Graphics mods (Moinesse Avatars + 1PP Remedy + 1PP Remix)
All NPCs
All Item mods (Selune's Armoury, LotR Items, Elven Pack, etc.)
All Kit mods
All Banter mods
All Quest mods
All tweaks mods (tbtweaks + BG2 Tweaks + Ascension)
Refinements
Virtue

That said, I've had success after installing Ascension on top of all the rest, but after reinstalling everything in the order given above, I have a problem where Saerileth's name is replaced by a line of text that appears to belong to Kivan's mod. Not sure if reinstalling Saerileth would solve this, or if Ascension belongs in a different place in the install order. Any guidance here would be most welcome and appreciated!

Please read Post #1 in this thread. This explains the install order of this megamod.

1. You can install the whole Mega-Mod without any errors.
2. All advices from the mod's "read me" regarding correlations are considered.
3. It's confirmed by several players that it works very well (except some of the iron modders, maybe one of the One Day NPC's and some of the tweak components). You can see a WeiDU.log from a working BG2 Mega-Mod here: http://kerzenburg.ni...p;postcount=518
4. There are some known bugs, for example with CtB, ROT, SoBH and some other mods, but that are bugs in the mods itself, they occur also without a megamod install.
5. Currently BG2 Herbs&Potions overwrites BG1 Herbs&Potions because they use the same names.
6. The latest "Baldur?s Gate Trilogy - Music" replaces the songlist.2da by its own version, so none of the mod's songlist entries are still there.

What shall I say more? Test it, if you want, report bugs, and the installation gets better and better.
Of course there can be bugs not discovered yet. Where do you assume problems?
