#20 Challenge: Melissan

Welcome to the 20th Fanart Challenge! Time to go eeeeeevil! I challenge thee to illustrate Amellyssan Blackhearted, the last villain of the Baldur's Gate saga! You can naturally draw her at any point of the timeline - showing her as the friendly busybody helping out the poor little Bhaalspawn, or the cunning selfish wannabe-Goddess-of-Murder, or even back in the olden days as Bhaal's priestess. What ever makes your muse tick! Have fun, everybody, you have two weeks as usual. Freestyle!

Anyway, I suppose a line like that actually sort of works when it comes just after massive overkill.

...I'm still disappointed that I had to kill her but never got to lay a finger on the solar. I wanted to murder the solar. Horribly. With fireballs. And hot poky things.

I'll start with a silly comparison. Melissan and Elmyra Duff, seperated at birth? Hair color, clothes, accessories. One is obsessed with animals, the other one is obsessed with power. And they're fanatic when it comes to their obsession. Anyway.

In Finnish November is Marraskuu, so I always somehow think Marraskuu => March. Um. Sorry. I'll fix it!

I think my favourite crack line from the manga was "YOU FOOOOL~! THE WORLD DOESN'T STAND A CHANCE AGAINST NAZI SCIENCCCCE~!"... but that's nowhere near as widely known as Dio's lines... or the steamroller.

Thanks. When I was first drawing this I thought about coloring it for practice, but considering I have the attention span of a...anything dead I wisely thought: "No point in ruining this more then you have to."

Not to mention, that only now I've notice that I've forgotten the damn feathers on Melissan's headdress!!

Your drawings are amazing! How do you do your inking? If it's by hand then I'll probably have to worship the ground you walk on.

Yes, everything is done by hand directly on the paper and later cleaned and darkened in Photoshop. I don't have patience to ink on the computer
