Well, I've got this wacky idea bouncing around for a male half-orc fighter, romanceable by females of any race.

Miloch, right? Though he's really a barbarian/thief and although half-orc, has somehow become half-drow also due to some unspeakable procedure inflicted on him while prisoner in the Underdark...

Since Tolkien invented orcs, you could start by mashing up some of those names. Of course, half-orcs can have names from their other half too.

Thanks. Of all the ideas, though I think I'll probably take Kellen's. Don't get the Zug Zug reference, but that's OK.

I don't want the name to be in orcish, so it was probably not the greatest idea asking about it anyway.

The guy would have been raised by humans, so he'd likely have a human name, just not a pretty one.

A half-orc I was working on (not modding-wise) was named Ugly, and then Atrocity, with a nick of Tross. In the end I'm not using him. :P

Is that at all helpful? Are you even still looking here?

Tross is a possibility. Still working on the idea, but there's a bunch of stuff on deck ahead of him. 8)

Haha, I was actually mulling over an idea like this myself. It came to my attention that I could only name a few NPC mods that weren't humans, elves, or half-elves.

Good luck on this!

Kilgore

Sounds too much like Mulgore (a rather obscure existing half-orc NPC).

I had a mental-storyline orc character in Warcraft II named "Kolvar" once. I'm not sure if that's been used, though.

Maybe Kulvar?

It's subtle and insidious, disguised as reasonable precautions which become more and more oppressive over time, until our lives are defined by the things we must avoid. She's easy enough to agree with, after all, she's only trying to help -- and yet she's one of the most dangerous influences we face, because if she prevails, it puts the raping, robbing, axe-wielding madmen of the world in complete control. Eventually they'll barely need to wield a thing, all they'll have to do is leer menacingly and we fall all over ourselves trying to placate them." -godlizard

On second thought, maybe your orc is Mulgore. The original author and cmorgan have requested some dialogue for him and his partner Xavia, who are otherwise pretty silent.

If you're still looking, I suppose you could always go with "Schnoo-schnoo" and have "DEATH BY SCHNOO-SCHNOO!" for a battle cry... :whistling:

This got me interested so I grabbed my board and went surfing. Just one wave but still. I found this site so I thought I would pass it on here, It was the links section I found most interesting.

My offering is Brokk. It was one of the dwarven brothers in Norse mythology who made Thor's hammer. Yeah, dwarven, but that could be irony at play or that his favorite toy was his father's hammer (or his father was a blacksmith). Well that's my two cents, keep the change if there is any. 8)

The name! I was sort of thinking of Alin, but I like yours better. It gets away from the A names.

Of course, now I fully expect to see another NPC come out with the name. <_<

Thanks, by the way!

Funny you should mention that. [runs off to learn how to mod so he can steal the name Alin]
