There are 3 import lists in BG2: they're called import1.2da, import2.2da and import3.2da. One is taken by duergar clan thief, another by some shelf, but I cannot find any reference to import2.2da. Tried to use DTLCEP, NI, searched scripts and dialogs - nothing helps. Does anybody if it is used at all, and if it is - where?

Hey Gort, it looks to me like the import02.2da refers to items that are scattered around. Sword of Chaos, Long Tooth dagger, Flame Tongue+4 are some examples and not all in one character or other container. Hope that helps

I haven't played BG1 or TotSC in a while but are those some items in the import02.2da from the first game? Varscona Sword +2, Lady Ashideena's Warhammer, Kiel's morning star, Sword of Chaos, Staff Spear +2, The Root of the Problem club. It is just my guess, but at the same time, if we import our old character from BG1 to BG2 with any of those items, we never keep them. Unless we use the tweaks. Maybe the import02.2da is crucial for importing previous existing items from BG1.

sword of chaos is BG2 item, afaik. And I don't see it in import.2da. Varscona is from BG1, and Root of the problem, too. Others I don't remember.
What worries me even more, I don't understand how import works. Looking at the script, ilyich should have plain leather armor and replace it with one of BG1 armors from import1.2da, if PC is imported from BG1 savegame and has this armor. But ilyich ALWAYS have Mail of the Dead +2, whether a new game started or not. I fail to understand how does it happen.

Except for Lady Ashideena's Warhammer, they're all BG1/TotSC items. Where the warhammer comes from I've no clue. The Sword of Chaos is, I believe, Sarevok's personal sword, and the BGT SoA version item description also stated this.
