This is something I have been curious about for awhile now. When you take screenshots in oblivion do you pick out a certain pose, weather condition, outfit, ect, ect and then set the picture up how you planned or do you just start playing the game and it just suddenly strikes you that whatever you are doing would make a great picture?

Personally I just run around in circles in the game until I either get an idea for a shot or get bored and go do some more modding/mod finding.

Oh and just a little note, I didn't include a "some of each" option because I am fairly sure almost everyone would say that. Try to pick the type you tend to do more than the other (or use options 3 and for 4 if they fit )

I personnaly, i just wander around Tameril lookin for something to do but my main goal is to take some pics and showcase em cause its fun so i just run around until i see an intresting area to take some photos

I play the game...and then in a moment of genious I decide to attempt a shot. And if it's good, then I take it. It's how I can come up with such classic screens like...

Hmmm, hard to pick one category. Generally I just take screenies with little in mind other than something funny or sexy or both. Then if something silly or otherwise interesting happens, I will TAI, etc. and shoot. From there, I write a little story, and then fill in any story gaps with posed pics later. So generally, the pics determine the story, but I generally have some big-picture in mind - like the Layla chapters, I knew from the beginning I wanted to cover her experimenting with sex, meditation, etc., but did not really know what that would look like. So I played and let it unravel that way, screenie-wise.

Your categories gave me a good laugh.

Most of mine are planned out sort of, obviously the posing/clothing test shots are aswell as lot of the battle scenes but there are quite a few scenic shots that just present themselves at random.

Only when there are some new clothes/armor/poses to model are my pics planned. All others, are snapped at random while playing the game. I may see something that I think will make a nice picture, and I snap it!

Nearly all of my shots are planned, mainly my action shots.
Sometimes I get an interesting screen by luck.

It is usually something like: hey this is a cool place and then some posing and camera work but nothing like placing items in the CS or taking twenty screenies and choosing the best. Scenic shots are almost always unplanned, a nice view comes along and there it is..

edit: I think most of us do indeed just take a pic when it comes along and only real action shots require a lot of prepping (isn't that strange action requiring more prepping than anything else you'd think it wouldn't...)

I enjoy playing the game lots, exploring the land and/or new lands from mods. When i see a place that is really beautifull then i make pictures. When playing a new mod i tend to "plan" pictures sometimes, like with the poses mods
