Alright. I finished KotOR on my X-Box five minutes ago (after my jerk of an ex boyfriend told me the SUPER SEKRIT TWIST I stopped playing for a loooong time). And I am pissed.

I must just be spoiled with BG2 and all of the lovely romance mods and flirt packs and things that flesh out the romances.
I, however, DO NOT accept the Carth romance.

He declares his love for me, in a totally matter of fact way, standing 10 feet from me, and yet Mission is all "GET A ROOM TEE HEE." Get a room so we can sit 10 feet away from each other and discuss in completely unpassionate ways our eternal love for each other? SURE!

My big thing is this: I already had KotOR for the PC. I installed it. I've got the "Carth Romance Fix" mod (inserts a kissing scene as far as I can tell). So, can anyone tell me if there is some type of Flirt Pack for ol' Mr. Onasi?

And if not...*sigh* I told myself I would never ever delve into anything harder than Infinity Engine modding...but I will join the unholy ranks and I will make a blasted Flirtpack for Carth, Juhani, and Bastila. If someone can tell me how to do this/where to get FAQ's/ect. I will love you forever.

Err...don't the harder things usually do the delving?

At any rate, we used to have an Odyssey Engine section but it atrophied and was put out of its misery, as near as I can tell. I'd be surprised if Liam and Seb wouldn't be up for reviving it if there was sufficient interest.

One thing that you might enjoy if you want more interaction (though it doesn't add just to the romances) is to download the dialogue pack from Allronix at Kotor2file.com. It's excellent

I saw this thread a while back, but have only recently been checking out KotOR stuff, for my current (second) playthrough of the game. That dialogue pack looks promising, but if it doesn't have what you want, here are some links to get into modding.

This forum seems like the place where mod makers congregate, and this page probably has all of the tools you'd need. I believe that TSLPatcher is the equivalent of WeiDU, and KotorTool is what you use to extract all the good bits from the game. Other than that, I don't know much - except how to make pretty lightsaber colours.

Romances? The Kotor games had romances?

Not in the sense like BG2.

OK, I just finished my playthrough, romancing both Carth and Bastila (Fem Bastila Romance mod, heh) and I have to agree that they were pretty lame. Bastila's is actually worse than Carth's. The culmination of several weeks worth of subtle hints and relentless teasing is an off-screen kiss, Bastila saying "we shouldn't have done that," and it being moved to the 'Completed Quests' section, stating that anything further would have to wait until Malak was dealt with.

I think BG mods must have spoiled us, because I now view this as horribly inadequate, too. But the game still rocks.

They are both good games of course, its just their romances are lacking. I wouldn't call them romances, more like get to know you dialogs with a few flirts thrown in.

I actually thought the Bastila romance was quite well done-it's supposed to reach it's conclusion just before Bastila leaves the party (hint: do Korriban last), and in my opinion it ends up working well. Much better than Carth or any of the KOTOR2 romances, at any rate. And I've heard Juhani does show hints of interest in a female Revan, but doesn't go anywhere with it.
