A little idea I just got from looking at some of Slof's shots of Basil just now that I plan to add to my pictures, a little, hard to see watermark added to some part of the picture. That way no matter where it is posted it will be identifiable as my picture unless the person copying it knows how to remove it (quite difficult if I understand it correctly) or edit it out (a bit easier but still taking work).

Just in case at some point I actually get good enough at taking pictures for them to be stolen

Some one should notify Ren that his/her work is being claimed to be done by someone else. Technically we can't take any sort of action other than exposing this person, however Ren can. Ren put in there readme that no one should take credit for the mod, which this person has done.

I agree with Karandras that it may be a good idea to start marking our screenshots.

Well, I made my own little post. And Even gave those guys a Taste of Ryu too!

As an optimist, I would really hope that Lady V has just been caught in a misunderstanding, and that she will rectify her situation with some dignity. Course, I know how some people can be in the world, so we'll just have to wait for her reaction.

If she tries to feign ignorance, and still claims the works as her own when they are clearly not...then I guess she'll just have to get dealt with the hard way. As sad as it may be.

I'd post myself, but the damn rules state you can only post after 7 days of having a myspace account. I'm with you guys in spirit though.

So do I. I really do hope it all is fixed quickly too. I always try to serve the community as best I can, and I always attempt to be as benevolent as possible while doing so, and also in my everyday life. After all, no one is perfect. Even I can make mistakes, and have. But it's how you deal with those mistakes that sets you apart. Some can acknowledge such, and rectify quite admirably. Others, not so much. And when those others decide to take jabs, I decide to stop being so benevolent and launch a few power punches...

And I'm certain by now that a few people here know that I have no problems with launching a few punches at those who do decide to bring it!

This is exactly the reason I started doing that. Someone ripped off a load of my shots - he used pics of Basil who is pretty well-known as my character - even tried to claim Basil as his hahahaha! This would have been impossible as I have never given my Basil files to anyone and never will. So I was quickly informed. Now I always put the spider mark on them somewhere. Doesn't need to be big or intrusive, just enough to mark the pic as yours.

The feathered felt cap is about as close to a watermark as I need right now for my character.

Don't have too many worries though. People always seem to rip off the more popular characters...
