I think I remember that you need more than one word of kill/stun. I can't remember exactly as I got the scrolls as more than one.

As Ymar said it was a typo in the the item.d file i think ^^;; if you're not sure which one I'll tell you exactly which one it is. Alternatively I can show you exactly where to change the code so it can reinstall.

Note that SKing in the item upgrade will not work. You can however SK in the components

Hmmmm I SK'd in all the Power Word spells, and then the Death Spell and Hold Person spells when that wouldn't work.  Multiple copies of each.  Still doesn't work. Blah.

Try using a Finger of Death scroll. If I recall right that is the only spell that fits the description "snuff out a target's lifeforce"

I assume its only Kova's item you have issues with, so no further Item notes from me

Coolio.  This btw is the spell description for the Death Spell ...

"When a death spell is cast, it snuffs out the life forces of creatures in the area of effect instantly and irrevocably. Such creatures cannot be raised or resurrected, but an individual slain in this manner might be brought back via a wish.  Creatures with more than 8 hit dice are immune to this spell, with the exception of summoned creatures, which are slain automatically.  Only enemies are affected by this spell."

I guess the developers had a thing for "snuffing" life forces.

I went ahead and proceeded to Spellhold while waiting on this answer.  I like how Kova actually waits until some logical point to ask me about my heritage, like when I turn into the Slayer.

Lol glad you do. Kova and Kiyone are both pretty sensible individuals who don't go prying - notice you'll never hear them asking you about Gorion. Besides they're too pragmatic to seriously believe you're a Bhaalspawn, at least not until events force them to ask, since it has become a need-to-know subject.

Is it only me that detests the word recipe being used for the magical combination of weapons and artifacts?

There should be a % chance the recipe will be ruined by too much salt...or something...

No offence to the original poster who had a legitimate problem...or the modder who is just giving support!

I dislike the word myself. Especially Cespenar's allusions to cooking. I rarely ever use the term recipe, if ever, when talking about my mods' upgrade required components.
