My 16 year old (going on 25 billion year old) brother, Biwi the Mad, has a way of SCIENTIFICALLY playing with things. He's very analytical, for a madman. He likes to see what happens when he makes little things happen.
His idea was to go into "Oblivion", create a Fireball spell that only did 5 hp of damage, but did it in a 9000 feet or so (whatever the limit of radius was) radius.
IN THE MIDDLE OF A CITY.
So, he goes to the city, Chameleons himself at 100%, and casts the spell.
The entire city does the "OW CRAP I'VE BEEN HIT" noise. They can't attack Biwi, because they can't see him to target him. So they all attack EACH OTHER.
Of course he sat there, cackling madly.
He then gave me the advice "Make a weapon with a fire-damage effect, and get a monster to jump off of a log or boulder at you to attack. Right before it lands on you, hit it. Trust me. You'll like it."
So, I make a daedric weapon with fire damage, and go traipsing around the land, looking for ogres. One spots me, I lead him to a boulder, jump off, turn around and wait for him to leap upon me. He does it, so I attack.
The ogre lets out a growl of pain...and GOES HURTLING INTO THE SKY ABOVE, GOING HUNDREDS OF MILES PER HOUR. He just launched. It turns out that ANY monster that leaps at you will go hurtling back in the other direction if you hit them with a similar weapon right before they hit you. I did it to a wolf too. It was great
