I'd like to wait until I get to a part with Khalid in it. Thereby shattering any chance of a 4th wall by having him complain that he isn't really like that :D

Aye, but do you want to wait completely until then, or do it then again?

Er, excuse me for breaking in and spoiling everybody's fun, but... what the hell is this? I feel like a complete outsider since it seems the whole project is so obvious that is does not need an introduction anymore... some "MST for newbies" please?

If someone is up to giving me the book text first, I'd be willing to write a segment.

It's a text version of Mystery Science Theater 3000.

"It features a man and his robot sidekicks who are ... forced to watch particularly bad movies .... The premise of the show is that the man and his robots make a running commentary on the film, making fun of its flaws and wisecracking their way through the film ..."

So basically, you add comments to a piece of fiction in an attempt to make it more amusing. MSTings are usually reserved for "bad" fiction, but can be used to poke good-natured fun at less horrible stuff as well.

As Vilk said. We're doing the same thing with our own characters, and using the official BG novels. A good chunk of the first book was previously MSTed here, so when it's your turn you can take a chunk from the topic. It may involve a fair bit of searching to find the right piece.

Aaaaaaaaaaah, makes much more sense now! Thanks for those clarifications... I've never even seen the BG novels... but since after reading the MST here I was convinced the WHOLE thing was a joke (yes, yes, even the original lines from the books), I guess it means I don't really have to read it all to know it's not a good novel...!

So we have Shadowhawke if she still wants a piece, Isilven unless she wants to wait, me, and then Zoraciel Ivtel.

Remember though, we must try to keep it to PG-13.

Since no one else has posted yet, I'm working up another piece to cover the next couple of paragraphs. Folks, if you want to write one, just copy the text from the site we linked, write the commentary, and post it!

Evil lurks in the datalinks as it lurked in the streets of yesterday, but it was never the streets that were evil." - Sister Miriam Godwinson, Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri

Heehee!

Good going guys, been funny thus far. ^^
Hrrmmm...

Though no matter the quality of the commentary, I found that this kind of writing is unhealthy reading in overdoses... x_x
What is left in the end is a thin layer of mordbid curiosity of what horrors will come next, floating on a sea of nausea... Burr
