If I knew anything about romance perhaps, this way not happening. Which doesn't mean I wouldn't play it if someone were to make it.
I'm not of much help here since I keep looking at the whole concept (which I adore) and keep missing the little things. I love it either way.

Well I was going to suggest darkened skin. Maybe a little darker, he looks so light.

He's cute and the shading is great (the scar! and the button!), but he doesn't look "Asian" to me at all. I think you should adjust the shape of his eyes, the lids and the space between his brows and lids.

If you decreased the shading along the visible side of his face, it would give it a flatter, more oriental appearance. But it's definitely getting closer!

If Yoshimo fling proves to be more or less enjoyable, I could add a dozen lovetalks in the same vein. But flirts? Never.
As for the portraits, I think hair texture is definitely European-looking, and so are eye slits. The look of arrogance and the eyebrow ring are delightfully Edwin-ish.

Asian people are surprisingly difficult to draw! Fixed eyelids and lifted the eyes' outer corners upwards a bit, tried to make the face look flatter and did something to the hair. Don't know if it helped.

I agree that you might have to apply some eye to his poor burnt ear, though.
And maybe I'd advise him to tone down the use of lipgloss a little.
