Freedom cannot be equated with goodness, virtue, or perfection. Freedom has its own unique self-contained nature; freedom is freedom ? not universal goodness. Any confusion or deliberate equalization of freedom with goodness and excellence is in itself negation of freedom, and acceptance of the path of restraint and enforcement.

But at the end of the dialog it goes to a cutscene, will you speak with Rielev after that again? I would like to know more over his relationship with Irenicus, their history.
Oh yes - there is definitely going to be more dialog with Rielev - that I can promise. I am rather fond of Rielev myself, although it may not show in the first dialog, and because it is aimed at un-biased player.

But that wouldn't work to warm up the hearts of the other NPC's, I would think. Your task will be very challenging indeed, and I am very excited to see the results. Especially how my darling Jaheira will react to Jonaleth...

http://gamejag.com/p...opic.php?t=2409 I shall post it separately as well I guess.
By juxtaposing Melissan's evilness with Irenicus and seeing Jonaleth suffering so badly, you are arousing sympathy for him (well, in me at least).
That was my 'evil' plan.
But that wouldn't work to warm up the hearts of the other NPC's, I would think. Your task will be very challenging indeed, and I am very excited to see the results. Especially how my darling Jaheira will react to Jonaleth...
Firstly - they all will see this particular scene, since Rielev is showing it to all of the party. Secondly, there will be more discussion on the nature of the Abyssal punishment and the value of the humility and redemption over Jonny's demonic pride. I think Jae would prefer to see him feeling really bad about what he did and suffer from guilt, over reveling in his unrepentant glorious torture. At least I would have, if someone killed my husband/lover.

Ah, that of course makes it entirely different - I didn't notice that it is Rielev showing this scene... Agreed on your reasoning in Jae's case.Firstly - they all will see this particular scene, since Rielev is showing it to all of the party.
Btw, I always hated that the other NPC's were not allowed to listen/interwene when the solar was talking with PC in the Pocket Plane, it felt somewhat unfair that the friends of PC were left clueless on the grand scheme of things.

That is true, of course. But in my case all the group members ( who will be willing to talk IHMO) will have their say - even if it will make my life as a writer a living hell. Speaking in 5-10 different voices ... shudder.
