I guess I'll post whatever I find here.

Keep in mind, It's probably been at least 5 years or so since I last played BG1, but there is a little thing that seems to be missing in BGT.

In the original BG, clicking on a character several dozen times would reveal some "secret" and usually pretty funny lines (much like the old and new warcraft games) I was upset when they dumped this in BG2, and it doesnt seem that BGT grabs those sound files.

Anyway, thought it was worth mentioning.

Another thing I thought I should mention, this is kind of a personal taste thing, but being unable to equip items before they are Id'ed kind of takes the fun out of cursed items. I know most of us know what they are now, but I would like some funtionality to be developed where they might actually fool you if you arent careful.

-The Red Sheaf and Burning Wizard in Beregost seems to be missing a bartender.

-The Video for the gnoll fort where Dynaheir is just played when I got wailaid on the way to larswood.

-A real annoying one, after the Nashkell mines in the jovial juggler are two guys who keep arguing about team Baldur's gate, problem is the dialogue keeps looping, so its like an infinite noober every time I walk in there (and I will have to go there a bit, that's where officer Vai is). Unlike Noober, you cant just kill them without getting a rep loss :(

-Gah- another nasty one. One of the mods (I dont know which :() adds an item called "cloak of the wolf" in the sword coast area, when you use it however, there is no way to restore your form. (Which I guess could be intentional, but kinda mean :))

*And on another note, what is the DEAL with all these bard npc's and bard only items?! I really hate bards, have in pretty much every rpg I have ever played, especially hate them in 2nd ed dnd. I guess one of you guys likes em a lot. hm. Where are all the monks, kensai, archers, and berserkers and assasins huh?!*

-There is an item, full plate plus one "Ebon Plate" that has the same AC as regular full plate. (looks cool though)

some months ago, I had asked Ascension64 to devise a BGT Tweak component that would make cursed items much more interesting. Cursed items would be identified with a big chance of being identified wrong. When that would happen, you'd get an alternate, misleading identification. Reading through the lines it would be still possible to understand the object is cursed because there are hints at it.

Unfortunately, after taking a look at it, Ascension64 told me it was not possible to make it...Sigh... :(

-For some reason Xan keeps walking up to melee range to use his sling, its extremely annoing.

I can't remember if you posted it somewhere, but can you place the text contents of your WeiDU.log here as well.

And if you haven't noticed the strapline on this topic, please don't hijack someone else's bug thread. Start your own topic. This is because everyone's game is different (hence the WeiDU.log) and using someone else's bug thread will only confuse the issues.

Might be a BG1UB bug. Will need to check. Not a BGT-WeiDU bug.

BG1UB bug. Fixed.

All the others you mention are not BGT-WeiDU-only bugs.

Yeah the curses idea doesn't work, much to my dismay.

The bard items probably comes from another mod too. Sorry I can't give you a more exact pointer, I haven't dabbled in mega-mods installs for a very long time.

I'm having some trouble with bartenders (and a few other npcs) in Baldurs gate.

So far this hasn't happened with anyone I need for a quest (I think) but it's a little annoying, this was taken at the Helm and Cloak. This is my first time stepping in there, I didnt get in a fight or anything around that might glitch him out.

EDIT: Oh, and the missing bartender bug- ive gone into those inns (in beregost) later and had bartenders, I don't know what triggers it. The Dialogue bug at the Jovial juggler also went away at later visits.

I think it's Dark side of the Coast that adds some of those things, Which I have been completely unable to access any content from. Does the worldmap support the areas you need for that? (Maybe it's north side, the only modded content I have found tried to get me to go east of Peldvale, but I couldnt get any new area to pop there- even stopped by his forum and looked as his walkthrough)

Some of these other bugs I have posted turned out to be just me being a little silly. What happened with Xan was a neckpiece I picked up that was supposed to grant clairvoyance was cursed. The problem was it wasn't made clear that he was blinded by it untill I actually took him out into the fog of war alone, then looked at his THACO.

Turns out the Cloak of the wolf was in original BG, but using it didnt allow me to transform back (I assumed it would work like the cloak of the sewers, in that you would get a restore form special ability) I'll have to see if that item still works right, I never found that item playing BG before. (map notes make it WAY easier to see those caves :))

GAME BREAKING BUG!!!

I was just routinely visiting the flaming Fist HQ in Chapter 5 (before candlekeep) to turn in the Sewers quest, when the guards outside began the accused of murder chain from chapter 7! I evaded the guards, went inside and Scar was standing in his usual place (even though the guards said he was dead. Im going to see if I can just walk past the guards outside the HQ and get to candlekeep!

EDIT: I managed to get Minsc (with boots of speed) to lure the two guards outside the compound away from the door so I could get in without initiating the dialogue. None of the other guards aproach me with the "You're wanted for murder dialogue (I'm afraid to try talking to them though" I seem to be able to continue the game just fine now.

I encountered a couple in the BG2 part of the game -

-When I encountered Khalid in Irenecus' Dungeon, Jaheira went right from the first section of dialogue to leaving the party! With the increased difficulty of the place, it was a real pain in the ass too lose her! (Esp. for improved Ilyich)

-There are certain areas (Waukeen's Promenade, The sewers under Copper Corenet) where the battle music is always playing. It just get's a little annoying after a while (kind of a mood breaker)

I was also curious, do any of the mods I have keep NPC's from losing items when the leave the party, get petrified, or imprisoned? I am generally not a fan of game features that just make things more tedious. (Gotta completely unequip Viconia, drop her, and re invite her every time my rep goes above 18 or I lose her and Korgan!)

All good parties are boring, Korgan, Sarevok, and Viconia (Anoman is good, but super annoying) are to awesome too leave behind! (Can't wait to see Valen and Soulefein)

-GAH! In the D'Arnise keep, after I opened the drawbridge and went back into the keep, soldiers were fighting two of the trolls, one of which I dispached with ease, the other seemed to be immortal. Its been "near death" for about 4 pages of hits!

Edit: Took a chromatic orb petrify to finally kill the bastard!

Could you please include this fix in BG1UB, Ascension? As I understand the current version (4 beta 3.1) doesn't have it..

You're NPC's shouldn't loose any items that you give them if something happens to them or they leave the party, as for the Rep problem BG2 tweaks has a happy patch in it that takes care of that, use the NPC's NEVER complain/are always neutral to the Rep score and that will cure them leaving even if you mix good - evil in your party. The only exception to that is atleast one NPC add on mod ,Saerilenth I believe, won't be fooled by the happy patch and She WILL leave with Evil characters in the party.

Could you please include this fix in BG1UB, Ascension? As I understand the current version (4 beta 3.1) doesn't have it..

Well, it isn't such a serious bug that'll prevent you from playing on. So I wouldn't release a version just for that.

Gah! The Same problem I encountered with a troll earlier is manifest on Torgal, and he's a lot nastier! (magic resistance) Im gonna try the fight with a lot more chromatic orbs this time, see if I cant get through his resistance and petrify him.

Basically what is happening is that he is hovering at "Near death" forever, no matter how much I whack him. (and my kensai hits HARD and often)

Guh, Eventually managed to get a slay living off (after confusing him and running away a few times) Thats a super annoying bug.

-There is a stash on the far side of the bridge in the Unseeing eye quest, the one where you have to solve the riddle and summon the bridge. I can see the stash when I hit tab, but I can't seem to select it. (If I remember there is some nice stuff in there!)

I noticed you have Unfinished Business installed. There was an issue between that and the BG2 Fixpack (if I remember correctly) about unkillable trolls. Check it here:

Also I would strongly advice you to uninstall the BG2 Fixpack optional component "Paws from shapshifting can not be dispelled" as it is critically bugged.

Same advice about Big Picture's Ascension.

-Hrm another wierd one. When Realis is making the portal to the planar prison, Har Dealis for some reason started attacking me. (he remained blue though) The event moved foreward normally though, it was just kinda weird and annoying.

Gah- another immortal in the planar sphere! The mage that shows up with Tolgeras. The Sonovabitch is ALSO immune to death and petrification!!! Got a few greater malisons off, and Chromatic orb didnt do crap to him even when he failed a save! Thankfully I think I can just skip him. Seriously, if your mobs are gonna bug out like this at LEAST make them able to be defeated with petrification or death magic!

Edit: To whoever put that new fight above Kangaxx... That was just BRUTAL!!! Liches who time stop and cast heal!!! Horrid wilting contingincies?! An UBER fast dwarf who's sword has a chance to kill on hit!!! Guh. I am actually afraid to see what you guys did with kangaxx. I'm gonna put this off at least till I have Carsomyr.
