Hi,

I've been experimenting with different mod combinations, starting a new game every time with a fighter who is dualled to Fighter/Thief after the first dialogue with Imoen in CI. I noticed after installing the HLA component of Refinements 3.02 that the newly dualled F/T did not gain a "set snare" icon on his special abilities bar even though there was a message in the dialogue box to say that this ability had been gained. I created a character with the standard thief kit and the 'set snare' icon was still missing. Thinking that there was a mod conflict, I reinstalled a clean BG2/TOB/TOB Bioware patch game with just the HLA component of Refinements installed (i.e. no fixpacks or any other mods) and the same thing happened with both the dualled F/T and a character with a standard thief kit. Uninstalling Refinements brought the icons back. I tried the Bounty Hunter kit and this retains all its "Set Snare" icons with Refinements installed, so I'm wondering if the missing icon on the standard thief kit is intentional or if it is a bug. Thnks.

The problem occurs when Refinements is installed with Weidu v199. The mod is packaged with Weidu 188 and the problem with the missing 'set snare' icon does not occur when using this installer. It only shows up after Weidu updates itself when newer mods are installed first (e.g. BGfixpack v3). I haven't checked with other versions of Weidu and I'm afraid I've no idea why the problem occurs.

My current game install was made with WeiDU 200 beta, and doesn't display the bug. My local version of Refinements is altered (especially in the HLA department), so that could be the cause of the difference. Unfortunately, it's dependent on WeiDU 200, so I can't just give that to you and try :(

Could you please tell us what modifications you have introduced in the HLA compartment of your local Refinements version ?

Is it something we are also going to enjoy one day ?

Invisible kits are generated automatically, rather than manually from a list. This relies on COPY_KIT, from WeiDU 200.
(well, unless you're willing to emulate manually COPY_KIT, that is.)

I can confirm the same thing happened to me...but i've not been able to track down the cause.
