I've got a pathetic one: Cried EVERY TIME the Anomen romance music came on, and fell asleep crying after I went through his "I love you, let's do it!" talk. -_-; *sigh*
I was thirteen and had depression. Leave me alone :P

I think I also cried during the "I remember nothing" talk between Irenicus and Ellesime. I was like "OMG POOR QUEEN ELLESIME!" the whole time. My dad came in while I was crying and he was like "Aww, now Lil' Immy, he tortured you. You should be happy she doesn't love him anymore." I was like "BUT HE COULD HAVE REDEEMED HIMSELF AND ALL HE CARED ABOUT WAS POWER!" My mom officially titled that "The Weirdest Conversation You Have Ever Had With Your Father, Ever."

I always found Viconia's romance music to be the saddest. Probably because she is a damage character.

Or good at doing damage ^_^
Give her the right weapon and she can do more damage than most of our frontliners.

And personally I loved her rommance track just as much as Jaheria's, both were very sad, but very moving.

Just thought of a truly sad thing that I do for no really good reason.

I don't like working for Bodhi. So I won't visit the graveyard at night until either Gaelan's been paid or it's been more than three days after Valen made the offer.

That means that I won't go to collect Wellyn's quest until rather later in the game. To solve Wellyn's quest, you have to find a certain halfling at a certain well-known establishment, presumably after visiting some women of negotiable affection.

I don't like to think that Hendak would free the gladiators, but keep reaping in a profit off the prostitutes, so I won't do his quest until after I've done Wellyn's.

Which means that I postpone doing two simple, rather easy quests just because I don't want to think that Hendak would tolerate prostitution.

Eh?
Just because the rooms are there still with the uh... stuff there. It doesn't nessecaryily mean its still going on after Hendak takes control.
After all, Madam Nin disappears if not killed beforehand once Lehithan bites the dust.

So uh... unless you wanna hire a crane with one of those big ball things on the end, I'd say your fears can be laid to rest. ^_^

Hm, saddest thing?

I think that the sad thing was when I (in BG1) gave to one little girl that dead cat - which I took out from the waterfall. Sooo sad.

Or when someone from my party died - with that crazy way to die where you can't resurrect him/her (I mean when the body of the character ends in several pieces). Although I don't like Jaheira, I really felt sorry for her when Khalid died (in BG1 or when I found him dead in BG2).
Heck no, b - I used the word the way I use things like "twitter", and "iPod" - my first inclination is to ask "what birdcall are you studying?" and I think of "I pod, You (singular) pod, He pods, She pods, They pod, You (plural) pod, We pod..."

At some points this thread's been about sad-in-an-uncool-and-lame way, rather than sad-in-an-upsetting way (though I suppose the two overlap sometimes :D) - so I thought for the former I'd throw in my two cents:

I: -always CTRL-R the intelligent pirate in Brynnlaw so he wins his duel;
-CTRL-Y the guy that kills the joke-telling Drow in the inn.

There are so many more compulsive, anal things I do whilst playing...but I forget them all until I'm sitting there and suddenly realise that the wrong person is dead in those ^ conflicts, and then I have to reload to get them back...

Heh. I do that to the bad-humored Drow, too. With the pirates, I think it's just luck of the draw, because the intelligent pirate beat the snot out of the crass one in my game last night. He must have gotten a critical hit or two, because the crass pirate was down in two shots. The articulate one says "Culture defeats ignorance any day," or something like that.

Yeah, he's awesome!

Another thing I do (I just remembered) is in Trademeet, when the Lurraxols vs. Alibakkars thing comes up: I always say I'll do it to one of them, then give the mantle to Lord Coprith, because he guilts me up too much otherwise. However, to decide which family to side with at first, I *always* go to Vyatri's, watch the fight, and side with whoever wins!

That's funny! I usually go to Vytari's afterward, rest once the fight is over, and then go see Alibakkar. I just can't stand Lilith Lurraxol. (And once I have the mantle, I return it to Coprolith, because I usually play the goody-two-shoes types. <_< )

See, I can't not give the mantle to Coprith. Even when I'm evil. Once, I steeled myself to be mean and gave it to one of the familes, and ended up taking the kill-everyone path. And he made me feel so guilty that I had to reload. So at least you don't try to decieve yourself about what kind of PC you play

Another stupid thing I do: I played BGII for the first time with Miss Sakaki and my older brother (incidentally, Nathaniel's voice!). And he had played it through one time a long time ago. And in the area type where Ihtafeer hides, there's one with an extra chest and one without. His confusion about "I'm SURE there's another chest in this area!" has compeltely melted my brain, for on every. single. runthrough since, I look for that extra chest...

Speaking of too sad for words, I don't want to have to trudge to the Druid Grove twice, so I'll go collect the Shadow Druid quest from Coprith (where did I get Coprolith?), then go see the Genies on the way out of town, just so that Adrathe will turn into Itafeer as soon as my PC enters. I can kill the rakshasha, but not the little old potion-seller.

Oh, I do the same, almost every time - though I often have Jan in the party, and he ruins her disguise for me, so I only have to visit the genies once (to give them the head!)

I'm surprisingly lazy, considering how much I enjoy these games. I always make sure to have maximum inventory space and do windspear and umar hills one after the other, so I don't have to traipse across Amn more than is necessary - and if I can't do that, I then try to combine Umar hills quest with Valygar's!

Hey, that's easy, as you just have to strip him and take his hand.

*faints* Not Valygar! I tried killing him once (same evil game as not giving Coprith the mantle, actually). I managed to work through the guilt and not reload, but DAMN, it hurt!

I have never, ever killed Valygar. I couldn't do it. Heck, I can't even watch Viconia burn, although I never recruit her afterward. Which is kind of stupid, because I have to kill three fanatics in the process of freeing her.

The saddest thing I have ever done whilst playing BG? During the Tree of Life dialogues, when my party consisted of my female PC, Jaheira, Valygar, Imoen, Mazzy, and Haer'Dalis(who kept his mouth shut), I went through an entire box of Kleenex bawling my eyes out. Now, I don't cry in real life for real life problems, but I absolutely friggin' sobbed over game dialogues.

I also cried at the end of ToB when another PC was listening to Solaufein recite poetry. Not going to try to influence my decision my arse. I (well, Raviel actually, he was the PC that game...) couldn't bear to ascend and leave Solaufein behind. I even tried to. But I just couldn't :crying:
Complex is the art of Technical Wild Magery, as you have to be able to do exactly what someone else does, and come up with WILDLY different results. For example, a Technical Mage can download the program to run a .rar file and have it work fine, whereas a Technical Wild Mage can download the same program and have their computer blow up. If ever you require tutoring in the art of Technical Wild Magery, I am available at virtually all hours.

I killed Valygar once or twice, but I just couldn't complete the game afterwards; I reloaded.

I had a very painful moment when I was playing Eeeeevil in BG1, took Edwin, killed Dynaheir(no scruples here), and then demanded money from Edwin, saying that his services won't do. And he left, and it seemed to me from his parting, rather bitter, dialogue that he wanted to stay. And I couldn't play with that; eventually, I reloaded and took him in.
