I downloaded him out of curiosity.

Problem is that something of that nature would have to have the writer take care while writing, otherwise the mod could be viewed as being that sort of mod for pure shock factor, which unfortunately, can happen.
I don't think people feel that Nathaniel was created for purely shock value, but I guess I can see how that might happen. However, new things always meet some resistence at first. Based on the banner for the Auren Aseph mod I see in your post, I suspect that you make your observation from experience, which is sad. I hope people haven't been rude to you.

Not I. He's not my "type".
Goes back to playing with Chloe.
I myself do not have much of a "type" when I play roleplaying games, as I do not always play "myself". I have played heterosexual males, heterosexual females, gay males, gay females. I have been strong characters, I have been needy characters, etc. I just enjoy any well written mod, I think. But I do admit that it IS a lot of fun to every now and again, play someone that is more like I am in real life when it comes to romance options and such, and this is one of the reasons I love Nathaniel so muh and would really love to see more content like this.

It's actually been a while since I've played BG and the last time I did it was because I found out Solaufein allowed M/M for a romance.
I actually found a few points in the Sola romance LULZ-worthy because some of the lines I ran across really sounded like they had been written with a female PC in mind and didn't quite fit my mental image for my PC. I am hoping with Nathaniel that such incidences won't happen, since it has been written as deliberately M/M - not an incidental allowance.
Anyway, the game I've just started is male PC, Merric Thorn, half-elf, fighter, Chaotic Good, portrait is the new CGI model of Kain Highwind. I'll be very interested to see how it develops!

Merryweather Kyla Sardinia, Silmaril Bearer, Grey Warden, Bhaalspawn.
I believe in the E at the end of the word "blonde".

I do have to say that I haven't laughed this hard playing a mod since "Getting Rid of Anomen" the bard competition in "Keto", and "Edwin romance". It's refreshing to play a mod that takes itself seriously, but not too seriously.
He's a "real" character, and that's very refreshing; we're not dealing with planewalkers, demonblooded thieves, another basted elf, or "please, no more sorcerers/mages" here - just a skilled but normal human adventurer with strengths and glaring flaws of their own.
I'll anxiously await the ToB release, but I do hope it's soon. As much as I love Saerileth and her Paladin-ey-goodness, I wish there were more fish of quality in the sea when I play male characters.

There arent enough quality gay/bi/lesbian characters in games at present. Hopefully that wil change.
