Luchaire - Love the photoshopping job on your first pic of Suni on the first page. It actually does really make the picture - the unphotoshopped one does suffer in comparison. Suni is a very unique character - definitely has that "Luchaire" touch. I like this effect, but something about the off-centeredness of it or the suggested motion to the right bothers me, makes me want to crane my neck around or something. However, that's probably just me. I do really like the effect on this shot - though it's a perfect example of how great Xetirox's comments are. I've not the eye to see the difference there in the blurring, or even tell if you've reuploaded it or not! But I really like the framing & the light effect. re: Merelith - She's my fav of your characters yet! Maybe I just have something for the goth look, tho not in my own life. If you're really wanting true gothesque, it's hairstyle 1. Hairstyle two does look good, though - reminds me a bit of Chiana from Farscape, though she doesn't really look like her. How'd you get the lips purple like that? If you're going with hairstyle one, you might want to see if you can pull the brows up a bit - they're kind of overshadowing her eyes right now, or it feels like it to me. But that's just my very minor suggestion. Nevermind - you already did just that!
Oh, and that shininess? Happens even with bloom.
Ran into it a few times my own self.
Thanks for all that.

Yes, I ended up going with hairstyle 1. Thought the bangs covering half the face was a pretty "goth" look. Her lips are purple courtesy of a custom face texture I made her. It was the only way to get the lips good and dark without "bleeding" into the surrounding skin and looking like she'd applied lipstick with a paint roller. I'm fairly happy with how it turned out, although I might play with the texture some more - I wanted them even darker (almost black) and there's a few spots (that don't show up much in the screenies) where the color bled anyway.
Of course, that neon glow of hers might be annoying enough to make me ditch the character anyway. I knew there was a reason most of my favorite characters tend to have darker complexions.

Someone else (Hector?) suggested changing the skin color in photoshop - I might try that and see if I can get a pasty skin that doesn't glow, but I think ultimately it's the nature of Oblivion's lighting.

You are good at this Luchaire.
Though I rather you work on Rachel's face when you get time.
But I'm not rushing you, I know you're busy.
Great face. =D
Yeah, yeah, Rachel, blah blah.

Okay, okay, I'll take another stab at her.
*stabs Rachel*
Better?

Seriously, I'll try to squeeze some time in for it this weekend.
Luchaire: Wow, she looks really nice and cool! I like the pics in your second post more. Her lips seem a bit purple though. Is it supposed to be like that?
Yes. As mentioned above, I was aiming for dark lips, either black or purple.
Actually, now that I think about it some more, I might see about giving her some black face paint/makeup... something to really accentuate the eyes... Hm...
Oh... and I have 12 cats at home.
