Just one thing i was hoping other people would agree with me on
some of these pages take forever to load for me now...

I'd like to run a separate poll for merging comments and screenshots when our first attempt nears the end. I could see Zombie's POV, people like myself post 5 6 7 sometimes more shots in a post and it's probably clogging up the pipework for a lot of people, my apologies if it is. Also, maybe people that only post one shot feel intimidated, or their shots are getting lost in the midst.

I dunno what to vote for so I'm going with option #3 (which is why you should never give us an option 3 zombie! You know we'll jump at it )

I admit, I stopped regularly looking at the pictures thread a couple days ago because it just takes too long to load - and I'm on high speed cable.

A posting limit doesn't seem unreasonable. 5 per post sounds good - if you want to post more, then double or triple post. You'd get to post the same number in the end, but there would be a hard limit to the number that have to load per page... if there's 20 posts/page, there'd be a 100 picture limit per page, instead of the way it is right now where it could be 200 or more if people post 10 shots/post average. I hope that made sense... ???

How about this?

We set a limit on the amount of "Img" Links that can be on a single post, and post any others we also want in our post as regular links. That way, we have a few pics that automatically load, and then others that people can choose to look at one at a time. A few pics to draw people in, and others to indulge at our own whims, so to speak.


Example Post

Constant theme of Smugglers...


(Here would be where the other of the "Img" links would be, whatever the limit for them may be set at)

Invade these ruins will you?
Normally, you would be cut in half about now...
No effect? Ah, but of course...

Basically following the simple formula

*Img Links(Limited)
*Regular Links(Unlimited?)

thats perfect dude! just tell the public that they can only post 2 of their images, so they can choose what their most important ones are, and jsut link the others! Brilliant

Those of us that use Photobucket and Imageshack could do thumbnails. I tried to show people how to do it in the first thread but it didnt catch on.

Thumbnails are around 1kb for my shots while full size is about 1.5mb each

We should probably say at a MAX 4 direct imgs and the rest links.

Yea, I think they should if they only take up 1kb. If we all decided on this we defenitily need to add it to the OP.
