Neat character, cyborg... the scar is a nice touch!

I'd have posted new screenshots by now, but... umm, I somehow broke my Oblivion. So, well... I'm going to have to do a full reinstallation to fix it.

Hmph, for some reason, it started acting wonky when I downloaded MMM 3.0. Then OBSE stopped working. If I reboot the computer and try to load it through OBSE, it gets to the Bethesda screen, then terminates the program. If I try to use OBSE after that try, it just turns the screen black, blinks back and forth between black and... really dark grey, then terminates itself. Oy, figures that something like this would happen. And just when I'd downloaded Supreme Magicka, too!

Anyway, I'll be back in a while, once I'm done fixing my durn game... after a break, since I've spent most of today goofing around with screenshots.

Karandras: I really like that picture of the church, how did you get it to be encased in fog? And as for the other one, well I never knew the Blackwood company was looking for jugglers...

The church picture is one of those moments when running into something in the game seeing totally unexpected things. My son had just convinced me to try out TCL to make screenshots from above/higher up. When I waited for morning this was how the Leyawiin church looked like. ( I don?t use a weather change mod so it is vanilla weather.)
And as for the Juggling part: I doubt they were looking for a juggler for the juggling, but rather for the looks (I think gwen is pretty enough to make use of her beauty if need be)

Xetirox @VanQa: Nice to see some standalone close-ups of Gwen for once. And that shot of the chapel is really good (nice "accident"); I didn't think it was a screenshot at first

Hmm I didnt see SeV post any dress shots but the ones in Floydian's shots are from this mod and only for BAB.

I tried to edit the darkest pictures a bit, but couldn't make them look lighter & good at the same time. And I didn't really want to spend too much time tweaking them, it was near midnight and I was sleepy.

The "light-stick" is Daedric Illuminate Staff, Francesco's mod adds 10+ variants of them to the game. I don't know if there is a stand-alone mod for them.

@LprMan: What was this about sucking at action shots? The one with the giant rat is cool enough. But the real show-stealers you've presented are the silhouette pics. They really help bring a dangerous, claustrophobic feeling to the scenes.

Heh...taking that fight screenie took ages. I tried taking shots of fighting with bandits, but all the pics were a complete mess. I ended up deleting all of them. I'll try again today

Sorry I've not been around lately, haven't even turned oblivion on, so, no screenies, at present, going to start 'er up, soon, so, yeah. Been watching on on the forums, and, dear lord, I'm still behind! :< The picture thread seems to be going /really/ slow, now, sadly. =/

Loving the stuff I've seen, and keep up the good work, everyone =D

Haven't been taking much screenshots lately because of some video card problem, but it's all fixed now.

It is from a mod Called dungeon expansion, It changes the lighting in alot (or all I'm not quite sure) to reflect who is in there. In one of my other pictures where i was fighting the necromancer you can also see this (lots of red) though it did show up less than the green.



Daiyoukai Ramza: Exploding kidney? Remind me never to ever pick a fight with that person Oh and i think the wings work well in the first picture, kinda like they are slowing the fall.

Floydian 1: So, the army fails so you used a dragon, that seems to work. Btw how did you get it to breat that kind of fire? mine only done a stream of reddish sparks (that I have seen in some of your past pictures)

Kimory: now thats not fair, we only get a few pictures of her and now she is dieing? very nice shots, I take it you were playing around with actors in charge?

Sev: Very nicely done face, I fully agree that those are some amazing looking eyes. Btw is that normal steel armor or is it The arctic bears armor from ooo? (the little white flower made me think of this)

Luchaire: I know what you mean, it seems I'm always starting a new character I really like how this character looks and the lighting in these screens is suburb. Oh and is it just me or is that iron armor different somehow? it looks a little strange...

Vanqa: those are really nice. Im not sure why but somehow them being a different shape than all the rest really makes them stand out

Morning, all! Hey, only a couple pages of pics to catch up on - I'm liking this split thread thing. On the subject of posting scenery: perhaps we should drop the "characters" part of the thread title? Just make it "Pictures of Oblivion"? What? You don't like the PoO acronym?

Hey, doesn't it seem like we have a bunch more people taking the time & effort to comment on *each* screen posted? I'm sure all the posters greatly appreciate that!

Floydian1 - Pip looks great there! BTW, if you're using the "Placeatme" command, that is known to cause savegame bloating and corruption. If others want to go the army route, I'd suggest making a second save and splitting off from your "playing" game to do the screenshots. Also remember, Wrye Bash most likely can recover save games corrupted by bloating.

ghostruler - He's a hottie! The first two pics are a bit blurry for me, but the last two are perfect.

Grimbot - Cinematic as always! Post 37 - Wow, a whole other side of Valken. It freaked me out a little bit, seeing him without any sort of helmet on. The shot through the snow globe's wonderful. He seems almost forlorn in the last "practice" shot, as if he's remembering slain comrades or a past love he couldn't save. (I'm saying, Grimbot's shot are cinematic in that way for me. I always see whole stories going on.)

LprMan - Beautiful shots! The only shot I personally found too dark - and only by a hair - was the third shot. I could just make out her outline, but a touch more light behind her would have been perfect. The rest were perfect - dark, but I could still make out your character. And - very nice capture with the rat arching backwards like that!

VanQa - Beautiful screenshot of the chapel! With the mist or fog, that's a great effect! On the story: so didn't see that twist coming in her path! Loving it. Gwen's so beautiful, but in a tough-girl kind of way. She really reminds me of a character named Starhawk in one of Barbara Hambly's novels. Post 39 That last shot is very expressive, especially in the context of her storyline. Post 43 - Love the lighting in these shots.

floydian1 - Nice dragon shots. The one coming through the gate is really good, with the wings echoing the arch of the top of the gate. Post 26 - AWESOME dragon action shot! The first one really conveys a sense of battle. Post 40 - In these shots I actually have a bit of trouble distinguishing the dragon from all the red/fire in the background. Post 44 - Can I just say again how much it sucks we can't have different bodies for different races? highpressure's characters are definitely best-served by exnem's, but Sia is perfect with BAB. The first of your attached pics is a new fav. Love the angle and all the lights in the back with her dark dress & wings.

Daiyoukai Ramza - Very nice action capture! I *like* how you've off-centered it, gives it more of a sense of motion. Post 23 - *great* capture! Love him flying back like that, and her pose afterwards is perfect.

Karandras - "Unexpected lawn work" - Oh no! The grass is attacking! Quick - to the mowers! I really like the glowing eyes. Something about the face still feels a bit off, but could just be me. Have you tried moving the eyes a touch apart? Oooh, that "Spies" shot is fabulous! Love the dragon through the tree branches like that - very very effective! I love your character's profile, too. Post 29 - Is the dungeon mod what turns the dungeon all green? I personally am not a fan of the effect, but what else does it do? I like the shots, though a few are perhaps a bit repetitive (something I struggle with).

Spike4072 - She's very prettty. Post 32 - Now everyone can see what I've been saying all along - Luna's a hottie!

Hector - Beautifull work, but I fear Layla is not the sort to be swayed by a tattoo! All that pain for nothing!

Kimory - I'm really loving hawk-girl. Did you already tell us her name? Memory like a black hole here, y'know. I really look forward to seeing some action shots with her. Post 42 - At first I thought, Huh? Closeup of a guard? But then a nice little storyline developed! Well done!

SeV _ OK, this is simply a spectacular shot! It helps that she has such great skin & eye textures, they seem to just glow & jump right out at the viewer. But the framing - with the armor's circle almost covering her other eye, and the arrow just released - perfect! Has this shot been photo-edited at all? I know, I know - I always rave over SeV's shots. There's just nothing I can critique here - except if she's using magic & archery, why's she wearing heavy armor? Post 36 - HA! Ok, finally - some of those shots were a bit dark for me. That's from the supreme magic mod?

cyborg - Great slow reveal of her face! That's nice texturing work there. You're right, there are very few scarred female characters - she's definitely unique. And very pretty, even with the scar, or perhaps because of it - does make her look tougher!

- I love mei! I mean you - I mean your character! (Sorry, I was (mis?)pronouncing her name as "me".) Great shots - I especially like the one that's linked. Post 34 - I especially like the dragon on the belly - and the hand tattoo (don't think I've seen a lot of hand tattoo textures). Very nice work!

Rogue Sun - LOVE how you've comic-booked the shots! And she really does look like a comic book hero. Is that a retexture you've done of the sorceress armor? Someone several threads ago had done some really nice cloth-looking work, was that you?

Alexander Wolf - That looks very nice - my first thought was that now we were inside Grimbot's snow globe! I hope you do consider releasing it.

OK. Phew! Perhaps now I should go play for a while, take some screenies of my own, with my own white-skinned red-eyed character. And I have *got* to get something set up for internet access in my evenings - all the action here takes place when I'm gone!

I used the creatfullactorcopy command but I guess it has the same effect, I was forming them into a column on the bridge, using tai to hold them in position also recruiting them using toasters recruit mod but when I saved the game it wouldn't load anymore just crashed to the desktop when loading up. Reverted back to a previous save and that was okay.

Well, I figured out what went wrong.... heh, turns out ya' need OOO .32 RC2 for MMM 3.0. Stupid me. Well, at least that whole reinstallation endeavor made my mod list MUCH less cluttered (I had about ~100 mods I wasn't using.... now I've got like 5 unchecked ones).

So, anyway, once I use wrye bash to... er, bash my save games, I should be ready to go! I hope.
