Could we do without the USA bashing please?

Yes, it has it's faults, but so does every other country in the world.

well i live in it, and i hate it. anyway

Since we are making all these new ideas, what about this, a picture rating system?
Make a system so that each member can rate a screenshot from one to ten. then the system can have something like top 10 screens, or top 100 screens.
i think this would be really cool, although someone would have to design it, so it probably wont happen

That is the jist of it. We did it for the 100 thread over at ESF and it worked pretty well, so I'm just expanding and *hopefully* imprvoing upon this idea.

The archives stay. A stagnant place for all picture threads, so people can see them!

I really like this idea, actually. I think the 'separate thread for each user' might not work so well. I like the idea of everything being archived though - maybe we could work out a way to archive shots according to their takers, so everything's not jumbled up? I'm not sure how that would work, though.

I don't like the whole 'individual' post idea, it seems like way to much clutter, and space-eatting. I didn't propose the idea, or support that one!

I don't know. To be honest, I don't see a problem with the current way of posting screenshots. I might have gotten your post wrong, I probably have to read it again one more time if not a couple of times.

Here's some ideas for forum rules in the screenshot thread:

(I know you can adjust this yourself, but it would be chaotic if everyone had a different setting.)

• Extend the page size. Having more than 20 posts per page. This could cause slow load times, though.
  
• Disable signatures. They usually take up space, and it looks chaotic.

If I'm still completely off topic, then I give up I'll come back in a couple of days when I'm not spacey and not sick.

At sev:

Should we archive them? Yes

Let's see if we can come up with more ideas, and in the end, you could make a poll.

An alternative and/or additional suggestion. Have a separate slow/newbie thread for people just getting started and/or who don't have time to post tons of posts. Pro/fast users don't post screenshots to slow/new thread, but can (and should) post comments.

(Don't mind me. I was just passing by on my way to get a banana. Just thought that I'd chip in with the suggestion.)

Oh also we should make a rule about quoteing screenshots somehow. Sometimes the same 5 huge screenshots are quoted 3 or 4 posts in a row.
