The Darkest Day ending/segway to ToB; can it be done?

I currently have TDD, Tashia, and the Solufien mod installed and I would REALLY like to take Tashia and Sol with me into ToB again, romance and all.

Seriously though I hope I can finish the game with my current build, as a reinstall might not even solve any potential problem.

Bad idea.
Once I reinstalled everything without the mod almost every item that was in my inventory that was class specific in anyway was not showing as unusable. This was even things that were class-specific (paladin, could not weild holy avenger ) All the other characters in my party were fine. This tells me that it was specific to the mod and that is what borked my character.
Unless someone has a solution to this problem I may have to start up a whole new game. This time without this blasted mod installed.

But if you use Shadowkeeper make sure you set it back to the base class (i.e. paladin or fighter) I noticed too that it doesn't list Lord or anti-paladin in the menu because I had to become a mage to finish NEJ Halruaa and switch with Shadowkeeper. Maybe double check it, it could be listing the wrong class.
However if you uninstalled TDD I don't think game will recognize your PC as a paladin-probably thinks its a fighter. Try SK to switch to paladin, otherwise it could be a lost cause.

sorry, im not understanding what is going on here.Well I happened to notice that other users have been unable to to "end" the final quest in TDD. I am about to exit the underdark and tackle the other quests/new areas in this mod but now I have to wonder: will I be able to segway right into ToB with my party intact after defeating Irenicus if I want to/is there an option to decline the main TDD quest after Irenicus is defeated if you cannot segway into ToB afterwards? In otherwords, if you can't take that extra xp with you into ToB that you gather from doing the quests in TDD then what's the point of the mod other than just trying something different?

no, you can't refuse the last TDD quest and transition to ToB - to get to ToB, you have to do the Rusted Scabbard quest. yes, this is a TDD design flaw, no it's not the only one.
but... what do you mean 'can you take the extra xp with you?' of course: the TDD-ToB transition was fixed a long time ago. you finish the Rusted Scabbard quest, you talk to Mary Magus in her house, you kick on to ToB without any restart and without alteration to yr party.
and as for HLAs - many dont start until Level 22 (not 18). some of this is due to TDD, some of this is BP rebalancing (from memory!); also, it's not inconceivable that TDD kits dont work properly and so dont grant HLAs as they should - you'd need to check the relevant .2da file to be sure.

As far at the HLA's I know that with the regular paladin class they start at level 18 (checked an older saved game). I did try to modify my character with the Shadowrun app but it does not seem to be changing/accepting the HLA's I add. I don't know if this has anything to do with the fact that this character was imported from BGI, stats and all and is now having a conflict with the Lord paladin sub-class of TDD mod.
Do you happen to know which .2da file I should look at? I don't have mad skillzz with the Infinity mod engine apps.

Also, when I played the Lord kit I think it worked to import a generic paladin from BG1 and select the new kit. If it doesn't work then start a new BG2 game and Shadowkeeper your stats to what you had from BG1.

Usually I would play a paladin class too, either inquisitor or lord (TDD) for his grandmastery. The lord would get summon planetar, etc. fine in my games with BP176. I haven't tested it with BP177 though, have been playing with an anti-paladin for a while to get the evil weapons heh.

Well up to level 20 and still no HLA's. I tried to use Shadowkeeper to put the HLA's in but they don't seem to be saving the changes. Still not sure which .2da file to check to see when this might happen as well. Did you happen to notice when (if at all) your HLA's began to kick in? Another thing to note: I have not seen a single increase in any of my weapon proficiencies since I started a new game of SoA. The lord class is supposed to allow for grand mastery in crossbow and two-handed sword but ever since level 8 I haven't seen a single option to increase anything. Geez.

Levelling up wasn't giving me any problems. Sounds like something went bad with your install. It does say Lord kit on your character screen right? Maybe something overrides the ids. file? Start a new game to double check.

I don't have TDD kits installed right now otherwise I'd check for you. However, what I remember is 3 million xp before you get HLA. Also there was no problem getting more proficiencies - you start with 4 at level one and one every three levels (4,7,10,13, etc.). At level 20 you should have 10 slots. At start of game my PC had 5 stars in 2 handed swd and one in xbow.

Well started a new game and went with the default paladin class. No problems, hit level 10 and got the extra proficiency. Wanna bet I have no problems with the HLA's once I hit level 18???
