Elly?
Are you sure you're not thinking of "Elias"?

P.S., Vera is nice, but very close to a Goddess in Brust's series, Verra...

Not too worried about the Vera/Verra thing. It could just as easily be spelled Vira, since the first sylable rhymes with "see."
And as for Elis, I'm not all that worried about giving her a name that might sound masculine. I'm a woman with a deep voice, and I've been called "Bruce" before without being scarred by it.
So yeah, I still have a lot of thinking to do about names. Always the way of it.

An obscure reference to be sure, but so was the whole "Gavin as Barney" thing.
Where is this character supposed to be from? It might be cool to give her a name reflecting that. Gwynneth for example is the biggest island in the Moonshaes, one with a "Celtic" background.

Seriously, Vera is very beautiful, I also like Marisa, Mara, Marizza. Is there any npc called by M? (female npc mod, of course)

I know your still busy with a lot that your working on but any progress here? ?
Huh, it's been 6 hours and no one's yelled about "necroposting" yet. They're slipping.
"Tyranny is a quiet thing at first, a prim and proper lady pursing her lips and shaking her head disapprovingly, asking, well what were you doing (wearing that dress, walking home at that hour, expressing those inappropriate thoughts) anyway? It's subtle and insidious, disguised as reasonable precautions which become more and more oppressive over time, until our lives are defined by the things we must avoid. She's easy enough to agree with, after all, she's only trying to help -- and yet she's one of the most dangerous influences we face, because if she prevails, it puts the raping, robbing, axe-wielding madmen of the world in complete control. Eventually they'll barely need to wield a thing, all they'll have to do is leer menacingly and we fall all over ourselves trying to placate them." -godlizard
