I've created over a thousand blades
Unknown to death.
Nor known to life.
Have withstood pain to create many weapons.
Yet, those hands will never hold anything.

You know what, Menelanna, I think your skills have developed a lot in a short time. It's fantastic to see how you get better and better every week.

And something I noticed here...why did pretty much everyone put Solar in a Greek toga? I am guilty of it too. What is with angelic beings and togas?

I'd venture a guess that early church-art borrowed the togas for the saints and angels from the clothing used at the time and place, but since painted icons and windows last longer than pieces of cloth, the designs now remain as an vestige from earlier times, solely connected to the context they are found at these days.
I never could imagine a HOLY angel in jeans, seriously.
Oh, and I like the piece! ;D
The wings especially, they're really feathery. The color really does it there I think, really nice, thumbs up.

and thanks for the comment. I do love drawing things with wings, even if the do take me FOREVER.

Ah, then you obviously don't know the comic "Fallen" by Aido. Then again, Faustus might be an angel, but I don't know if you can call him a "holy" angel, considering his area of work before he landed where he is now (we don't know what really happened, yet). Now he is a pretty gothy guy. Naturally black hair, black shirt, and jeans.
If you want to know what he did before, then highlight here:

well finally here is my peice. The extra time allowed me to color. YAY!
I love it! Great colouring, and great drawing.
Only one thing irks me. Her head is a bit too flat on the top. That's a common mistake, and even I make it sometimes. This is just meant as friendly constructive criticism.
Nonetheless, I love it! You've done a killing job on those wings. I wish I could draw feathery wings like that.

Also Neferit - Smurfette-Solar will be counted to the statistics, even though it's not exactly original, but the evil thinking behind is worth it. Fantastic!
Heh... evil thinking ? I'm still learning it But the nearing (and now ended ) International Sigil Meeting evocates such thoughts like Smurf-Solar
Heck no, b - I used the word the way I use things like "twitter", and "iPod" - my first inclination is to ask "what birdcall are you studying?" and I think of "I pod, You (singular) pod, He pods, She pods, They pod, You (plural) pod, We pod..."

...yeah yeah, adjdskdskd, I know, "work on your anatomy/shading/what the hell am I saying, work on EVERYTHING". But hey, at least it's a solar. Or something.
(And the bottle says "booze" and it's indeed 120% proof. Hey, it's magic. Besides, celestials won't get drunk on anything less. The bastards.)

Yup, Smurfs are good! I loved them when I was younger; in Czech they are called ?moulovéAs an absolute Smurf-fan (though I like the german Schlumpf better) I can only say, that I love your Smurfette-Solar. Maybe she's Solars lost daughter...
Heh, vilkasis, you reminded me of this -> .
That angel looks sooo like your Solar )) (btw, the texts in bubbles is - "The God doesn't exist." and "OK, sorry.")

Sooo, anyhoo, I'd like to make a few comments about my entry here. First, I'm not wholly satisfied with the face; I've done better (I partly blame the size of the drawing...partly). Second, I didn't quite know what I was doing with the see-through clothing or the wings, but all things considered, they could be worse. Whatevah, I'm just glad I had the time to try some new things and do something decent for a change .
