Nah, just using the paperdoll with the shadowkeeper 'cause I like how it looks.Narra dual-classed into a thief, right? Oooh, I can see Soultaker dagger!
That's the excuse since I don't know how to cell shade.Nice & funky style. Very fashionable. ^^

I felt there was something odd with it as well and I fipped the pic horizontally (it helps me to find mistakes), the left eye should be partially hidden by the nose imo. BTW I noticed you've given her a 'greek' nose!

Wow different style!

The eyebrow overlapping the hair also adds to the odd effect. If you cover it up, you'll see that it doesn't look as odd.
I know it's a style choice, though. It's think it's just uncanny that her hair is nearly the same colour as her skin, as that way it's hard to realise that no, there's no shading missing at the left eye, it's just the hair. The floating eyebrow connects the two even further, making it even more difficult to tell apart when not looking at it directly.

What's wrong with greek noses? lol haha I'm just kidding because i'm greek...BTW I noticed you've given her a 'greek' nose!
I like the new style too, but it makes Narra much more mature than the little cute girl she was. I agree with WeeR that some shading should do the trick. Now is is somewhat flat, and i believe that's why it seems weird. Doxia, btw, do you erase linart, paint over it, or work without it at all?

The only way I've ever practiced portraits is with Greek statues, so I hope to be able to gradually ease up in "imperfection" as it were. For the duration of practice I'll stick to Greek's Golden ProportionsWow different style!

Good point. I'll try it out.The eyebrow overlapping the hair also adds to the odd effect. If you cover it up, you'll see that it doesn't look as odd.

I've done a pencil sketch and painted over it, much like you do when you paint over a sketch on canvas. What's wrong with greek noses? lol haha I'm just kidding because i'm greek...BTW I noticed you've given her a 'greek' nose!

I'd maybe still tone down the secondary light coming from the right, to help the left face-half sink a little further, maybe add a faint nose-shadow on it too.
Ehm.
Right cheek could maybe use a little more color blending, it looks a bit uneven.

Does she have the tips of her ears, a bit it darker than face color? Her left temple, is a little strange, if you watch it closely. You should blend it, like WeeR said. And I see you draw hair!

I'm desperately trying to achieve that chiseled look you get when you work on canvas. I don't want to blend things too much. Perhaps it's trying to much for the first time.Much better now. @_@

Eh, I honestly don't know what kind of nose she has. This is my first time drawing her in semi-realism style.Oh much much better now!

I like the idea of tips of ears being a little darkerOooh! You're practising realistic style? So nice, my fav style, too!

And the latest one. I think I'm almost done with this one. The hair still bugs the light out of me.

Yeahh, the slightly uneven look works well now that it's more uniformly applied. :]

I'll keep the PSD file for the future tinkering if the mood strikes me, but for now, I think I'm done with it. I'll continue practicing on something else.
Thanks for the input everyone
