I haven't posted anything in a while so here are some of my more recent pencil drawings I really prefer traditional medium to digital.

I really, really like your style - I tend not to favour 'anime'-ish styles (because they tend to be a bit staid and cliche), but your style is vibrant and interesting - it's also so very nice to see this kind of work done with traditional media! You have a real talent for posing and creating mood - your picture of Sola and Narra is simply lovely !

Thank you I did start with anime but I'm trying to evolve it into something that would be a style of my own. We'll see how that goes

So here's Aneele, again, standing in front of the Crossroad Keep. I never get tired of her.

I used several references for the castle, some English, Sottish, Mesopotamian... And I'm debating heavily with myself which medium to use to colour it. Suggestions?

All done on akvarel paper.

Do you use copic markers? Because that might look nice, if the ink you use can withstand the bleeding. If not, I'd go for digital. An unfortunate side effect of coloured pencil, as much as I love using them, is that it overlaps the lineart.

It's waterproof ink but, eh, I don't own copic markers. The best thing I can do with are wooden pencils and temperas.

Uhm, I'd suggest you to do a good quality scan of the black and white pic so if you screw things up with traditional media you still have a chance to color it in digital ;-)
If you're going to use digital, I'd like to see it with a paper like texture ^_!

BTW I think there's something wrong with the prespective of the castle but bear in mind that I'm not good at it myself x_x but look atht eh wall section between the two high towers on the left, you can use the windows as reference: it seems the wall is taller on the right than on the left.

As for the perspective, it's quite possible though I'm not sure. I did use photos as references

The biggest problem I had was adjusting the colors on the monitor to match the ones on the paper.

I don't think I've ever been completely satisfied with any of my efforts at this. It's a pain in the arse .

Let me add that I quite like the simplicity and mood of the Solaufein one.

Thanks I'm still not all too pleased with the colours. They ended up too sharp and vibrant. Yeah, that's a bad thing

I love your style, it's so distinct and original!

I especially liked the comic and the last picture, with the castle wall. It also made me want to try pencil colouring for a chance, it's been a long time since I used those...

I hope you will provide us with lots of pictures in the future!

Grayana- Took me a while to spot, this but thanks for the comment I try to improve with every picture.

Something I've been working on for the past few days. I went through too many tutorials for this one.
