Whoa, seems Jaheira got quite a bit of attention since I last posted!

Ok, I missed the Charname contest and didn't much care for the others, but I'll be darned if I'm missing this one.

Here's a couple I had done some years ago (5 or 6, the ol' memory ain't what it used to be):

This was back when I didn't really know much about digital tomfoolery. Needless to say that there are errors everywhere. Unfinished because I saw a shiny object not long after reaching this point.




A sketch that remains in the "I swear I'll get back to it before I gain another gray hair" stack. This stack happens to be the biggest stack of stuff...the second biggest being the "Will never win any decency awards" stack.

Finally, I managed to draw something on time!

My Jaheira is different from the cranky, stern woman she sometimes is in BG2. This is how I imagine her after ToB: <Charname> and Jaheira are married, the Bhaal taint isn't an issue anymore. They still go on adventure, but just because they want to, not because they are forced to. In some LTs, Jaheira showed a softer, happier, energetic and loveable side, and here the transformation is complete. She is relaxed and enjoys life very much. (Oh, and she's wearing the locket, I've always loved this present.)

Welcome to SHS, whatbrick, and boy am I glad to see that you decided to do your first post here. Those are some FANTASTIC drawings, I especially love the armors. I suck at armors, so I envy your skills all the more.

EvaineDian - thanks for participating! That drawing is beautiful, and it is good to see Jaheira's warmer side represented here, too.

So much beautiful art! I don't know about you but the more drawings I see the more motivated I become to draw and with all the gorgeous art here my inspiration is going to overload.

And now I can't wait for the next challenge. Any hints on what it could be?

Just felt I should comment a little more in depth -

whatbrick - firstly, welcome to SHS! Those are some fantastic pictures/sketches - I particularly love Jaheira's expression in the first one; it makes me think of the end of Throne of Bhaal, and you're romancing her - I can just imagine her being like that. The second one is a lot more authoritarian, and I adore the hair - I'd love to see it completed...

EvaineDian - oh, wow! I just love the dress, the folds look great... Her hair is brilliant, too - I can't wait to see what else you come up with! And if you have any submissions finished for other entries which you missed the deadline for, feel free to post them in a thread, I'm sure everyone would love to see them.

I checked the ingame art and there, it's an oval pendant. But everyone's free to imagine what they like, a heart would certainly have been nice, too. It's just that I always get the necklace early in the game, at a point where Jaheira seems rather embarrassed about her feelings and I thought that she might be too embarrassed to wear a heart-shaped locket.

Ach so, my friends, the seventh challenge has opened! That means that Jaheira's challenge is now over, but this time not *closed*. Because of a new and improved system, late entries are welcome to Jaheira's topic, but notice that they will not be counted to the statistics. So both entries and comments are still more than welcome, but anything after this post will not be counted to the stats! We'd still love to see what you've drawn, though.
