#6 Challenge: Jaheira

Welcome to the sixth weekly fanart challenge! Imagine that, we've been going for five weeks already! This time the subject daddy Gorion's old friend, late Khalid's widow and our friend or lover. Or the one that is first to leave the party, like in my case. Ahem. In any case Jaheira is more than familiar to all of us, so illustrating the half-elven druid shouldn't be a difficult feat.

Like always, medium is free! What ever suits you and your mood best - pencil to water colors, MS Paint to Photoshop to 3D renderings. That's one thing I'd love to see here someday - a real 3D model. How cool would that be! Anyway - don't be shy, join in to draw the familiar druid, and excuses like "I can't draw" or "you are all so much better" or "my drawings are torture for your eyes" will not work!

After spriting Jaheira, I realised just how much she looks like Link when I give her a scimitar and the fortress shield. Now, I know the shield has some pointy edges but I couldn't pull it off with it looking decent so here she is, Jaheira!

IronOx is the only other participant here so far? That's...too bad . Wish I could take the time to do something bigger and more elaborate for Jaheira, but I's busy this week (and next week, too, bleh...). Pretty simple drawing, really. At the very least, y'all should be happy to see that I decided against them weird cornrows (they look like cornrows...kinda) she has goin' on in her BGII portrait (otherwise, I actually prefer her portrait in BGII to that in BGI). (And, apparently, I'm having an Edwin moment here .)

Poor Jaheira, nobody likes her

I was going to at least *try* and get something drawn, but I've gond and fucked up my foot and probably won't be able to get to work this week, thus no scanner. I'll have to adapt my idea to Paint.

Pretty simple drawing, really.

I like it, she has a kind of "argh, see what I have to put up with?" expression that seems quite in character.

I think it is the opposite of Attic quizes: whereas in the Attic two weeks are way too long for a quiz(especially if one can submit his story in the next quiz, or next year), here two weeks are way, way too short a time, especially given you are forbidden to draw afterwards.

Beautiful Jaheira here, momentarily distracted and a little haunted.

Heh, I tried to draw something myself - now I'm waiting for scanning of the pictures. Well, lets say that I've never been able to draw better and the fact I was able to pass in my art subject was only my genuine trying when our teacher saw this, she always gave me good notes I'll post my Jaheira when I finally got the scanned version.

Fantastic entries, everyone! I especially like how Galsic drew Jaheira's hair, and I loooove Berelinde's coloring. Purdy golden hair.

Here's mine. I always imagine her to be the sort of motherly guardian-ish figure in the party who rolls her eyes at the young girls sillyness and recklessness, that's why the stiff pose.

What can I say, I love to draw, I love BG and I love challenges - though Jaheira didn't exactly cooperate when I decided to put her on the paper

Thanks for the welcome and there'll defiantly be more. After all, the challenges give me the perfect excuse to refine my drawing skills. That and I work better under pressure
