Just a quick question. Building a new system in a few weeks and wanted to know if anybody had installed BGT-Weidu or BG1+2 in general successfully in Windows Vista 32bit or 64bit. I will run an XP partition if nobody has been able to install. I am going to go out o a limb and guess that people can install in 32bit but 64bit I am not so sure about due to the nature of 16bit installers, etc.

Thanks

Well I've benn having problem's with my 32-bit Vista but it could have been my install. I haven`t had a chance to re-install it yet to check and make sure, but I`ve been told on other threads that it should work.

Good to hear! at least that its working in some installs. I think I may run an XP partition thats small just for some games/apps that refuse to run in vista. I have read about some others but with this I go for mega installs and so including BGT will increase the partition size by 10+Gb.

hey zodden - please pm me details of what you do and how it works, please - I am on schedule to either buy or roll-my own in June (summer teaching $$) and would love to hear how it goes for you. No massive OC or case modding info, just the components and your experience :) before I go do something stupid like pair up a dual 8800GTX SLI config with budget fans and no extra cooling...

It would help to know exactly, and I mean exactly (no sketchy re-creations of what happened, e.g. screenis would be nice or exact error text), what happens in a failed install on Vista.

Absolutely no problem for me when installing BGT (and many related mods) on Vista 32 bit.
