Two Questions on Editing

Been making maps for a good friend and have hit a lil snag, I think. Hope someone can help.
First, I grabbed a couple of the dragons from BGII and positioned them the way I like (I don't care about the grounds as everything EXCEPT the dragons is going to go anyway) BUT - I need to figure out how to make them look like metal (or marble) Statues! I have been fooling w/ it for eight hours now and have had no luck.
Anybody want to take a crack at it, or offer some advice???
Second is a simple one. I grabbed a bunch of Wall Tiles from Blackwyrm awhile back, and like the look, but in putting them together... Can someone advice, as they look a little small for BGII - what is the HxW ratio? More height. (Please see attached.
Thanks

This is a bit of a shot in the dark, but I think it was in BGI that they had some stone statues (they would then come to life, join your party for a bit, and then attack you later on). I don't recall if there was a dragon one or not, and, unfortunately, I am not able to be more specific in regards to what area this was in as I don't have BGI installed and can't quite remember. (Anyone else out there know anything about this?)
I probably haven't been much help in this, come to think of it, and for that I apologize.
(Is it possible to recolour them, and edit them with NI so that they don't move or something? Hmm, one would also need to remove their dialogue files so that the statues don't start talking to you all of a sudden!)
If anyone else knows how to either make these dragons look like statues please feel free to share!
Peace

Metal will be more difficult, since you'll have to make it look "shiny". There may be photoshop filters that will do much of the job for you, but the metal filter that came with my image editor is fairly crummy when it comes to stuff like this.

When it comes to brickwork/stonework in walls, HxW is exactly what you want it to be for the wall/building you are creating. If you think it's a little small, then either Scale or Skew the pattern until it looks right to you.

[Edit] Damn. I assumed you were using Photoshop (as per our last conversation) but I see you're still using Paint? If so, I don't have a clue....

@MiM: how about casting stoneskin on the dragon and then taking your screenshot?

It worked!
My thanks to all who answered. Been busy making maps. I have found that making rooms are deceptive as the walls want to go straight across. When the floor is added it looks more natural.
